Team Canada unveils training camp roster (https://www.tsn.ca/hockey-canada/article/canada-unveils-2026-world-junior-training-camp-roster/)
Just finished watching Canada/Sweden. Canada took to many penalties. Goaltending for Canada was very good. The boy's need to find some chemistry.
Team Canada back on the ice on Saturday night.
Anyone know if there are any Jets prospects playing?
Freji and Boumedienne are both D-men with Sweden.
Walton. 6'6" 211 (C), 28 games with Sudbury. 21G/27A 48 points. Did not make Canada's roster.
Canada made far to many mistakes last night. Scoring on your own net, and two big giveaways for goals. Also have to clean up the penalties.
Canada against Denmark tonight in Mankato tonight.
Canada 13 Denmark 2. Canada with 50 shots.
Dec.26: CAN - CZE.
Dec.27: CAN - LAT.
Dec.29: CAN - DEN.
Dec.31: CAN - FIN.
So far Freji has looked very good for Sweden.
Canada with lots of offence, but have to get a little better in the D-zone.
My word how this game got into shoot and score action
Certain that Canada will need to play harder away from the puck or their games will be much to chaotic
Not sure if anyone really was impressive. Felt both sides played absolutely no holds barred pond hockey
Can and Lat today.

Yeah, I don't expect any better this year than in the past couple of years.
LAT always plays Canada tough. Our top line is very good. The 2nd. unit is starting to fine some chemistry. The team still needs to play better in D-zone.

Where did this narrative come from?
They beat us in an upset last year, but we beat them 10-0 the year before that. They are a low tier team with a miniscule prospect pool to choose from. Doesn't give me high hopes for when we play a stronger team.

Canada should've easily beaten Latvia in regulation. Finland whomped them yesterday.
See that our 2 draft choices, on Sweden, have a bit of contributions to date.
Freij has 4 assists and Bouemedienne got his first 2 today

I like the look of Freij. His skating is very strong, handles the puck well, and has a pretty good shot.
Saw Boumedienne at the Prospect camp, don't recall Feij,
---- and he seemed to be a super skilled skater at his D- position
A way better showing last night vs. Denmark. That McKenna is pretty good!
Well, the boys came to play last night. Still, a few D-zone break downs. But, the boys are starting to play much better as a unit.

Two ugly turnovers in the first period resulted in Finland scoring. But I agree, this team has improved well in their last two games.
Team Canada played a great shutdown third period to seal the win and lock up top spot in their pool.
SVK isn't going to be a push over. They lost to SWE 3-2, and the USA 6-5. Chrenko for SVK leads the tourney in scoring, and has speed and great shoot. Should be a good game.

The last two games have given me hope, but I'm by no means confident going into any match-up.
This looks like Sweden's tourny to lose (bad for Canada, good for Jets prospects).
Canada looking good and has SVK running around and out of control.
5-0, 8/14 on the PP
Canada looks like they have arrived. All four lines playing well, D-core coming together at the right time. Goaltending looked very solid tonight.
Fantastic win over Slovakia last night. The game was basically over after the first period and Slovakia had no response.
Tomorrow's semi-final should be a gooder!
Czech just absolutely out hustled and blew into our poorly defended end much to easy and often
Hate to say it but I feel our lads just didn't compete well enough at 5 on 5.
Unfortunate loss
Discipline and composure went out the window late in the game.
The better team won.

I agree, our discipline and composure was our down fall. To bad Martin was injured in the first period, big part of our top line. However it was a very good game.
Canada up 3-2 after the first. Should be 3-0. George letting in a couple of weak goals.
5-3, Canada's PP is very good.
Not the metal they wanted, but a nice win for Canada today.
A nice "bounceback" win to take bronze, and a much more disciplined outing overall.
Nice win for Sweden. I look forward to Boumedienne in a Jets jersey.
CZE made a big push at the end and had SWE scrambling.
Really good tournament and games, that I saw, were fast, skilled and physical. Some real decent goaltending and quite a few highlight reel plays offensively and defensively.
Regarding the Draft and the potential #1 selection
—- my choice would be Stenberg
tend to feel he has better speed and power for the NHL then the expected #1 pick in McKenna
Incidentally, really jumped up when Boumedienne hustled into
a side shooting position, got the pass and did a great onetimer for a super goal.
That play, of dashing into a better position, was lacking most of the time, in my eyes, from Boumedienne and Freij.
Both definitely were very aware of their defensive roles but rarely pushed the play beyond their blue line.
Hoping though that in a few years they dawn the Jet uni
and excel.

Ya McKenna s stock took a hit this tournament, he's a decent player but nothing extraordinary.
There were a lot of good players playing in this tournament and Sweden definitely was the best team . Checkia was noticeably better than us. It's tough to win this tournament and sure everyone would like to win it but we're out to lunch 'expecting' to win gold.
McKenna will go in the top 3. He did have 14 points, and finished second in tournament scoring.
