Perfect. No notes. Agree with everything.
BAD:
Eli taking a penalty that took a TD off the board early. We got a FG but those penalties and can back and haunt you in some games. Not this week but a 4 point swing.

We took a few rough offensive penalties.
Thankfully it didn't make a difference.

I mentioned this one because it's bad technique compared to a holding penalty which might be necessary to avoid getting the QB hurt etc.
Yes, a few Bad penalties. A few terrible missed tackles. But, all in all a very solid win.
Bad, was watching Parker limping on the sidelines. Doesn't look good for him returning anytime soon.
BAD:
What was the penalty on Ontaria (Pokey) Wilson on almost his TD?
Good
Woodbey - the guys a tackle machine
Collaros - looked like the Collaros of old
Lawson jr - they tried to pick on him but he held up -getting better each game
Willie - if only for his two great plays at the end of the half to shut Ham down
Oline - gave Zac time
Hogan - called a much better game, moved Zac around, changed up snap counts, and more rpos
Mitchell - good to see him a part of the Offence,(still might be odd man out when Wheatfall returns)
Bad
Castillo missing a convert again
Eli's facemask penalty taking away a great play (by sterns i think)
Defensive pressure still an issue
Ugly
nothing really

I believe there were off-setting objectionable conducts.
Bad: Zach Collaros remaining in the game in the 4th quarter when the Bombers had a 30 point lead.
Good-scoring the winning points in the first 15 seconds
-defensive schemes BLM struggled to find receivers open
-Colleros was outstanding
-O line gave Colleros lots of time {See previous line]
-Olivera was Olivera
Bad-missed extra point
-inches away from a shutout
Ugly-Lahlers game today
Ugly - the only points given up were a doink that barely bounced in...

Are we talking the huge 80Y Brady romp that got called back halfway? I thought it was holding on Pokey near midfield. The OC calls were a different thing (maybe later on the same drive? at the goal line).
Will have to examine on rewtach. If the hold didn't impact the play, what a bummer to call back Brady's longest run ever.

Just rewatched it... the Hold on Wilson was after the DB threw him down and as they got back to their feet, Wilson held on as he got up as Brady was running by.
Crappy penalty, by the book, but the interaction prior kinda made it less of a penalty.
Then Pokey got the deep ball at the 1, and after that there were words exchanged that got the offsetting OC penalties.

Stuck behind BOLO, Tyler Ternowski, and probably Bruggeling, safe to say the Bombers can probably take him back in the off-season if they want him. Good fill in and great locker-room guy everybody loved.

Good
We back!!!!! Live and die with Zach, OL and BBB and all three clicking, Zach was throwing dimes as consistent as I have has seen, his deep ball was 👌
Mitchell very nice snag, I had previously stated that he was coming on and important to keep him in the lineup and I believe he has taken another step with that deep ball snag
Bad
Tony Jones 2x wiff tackles
D just awesome
Woods looked ok
Positive vibes from this big win will balance out the mood on here a bit

Calling the orange jerseys stupid shows disrespect to the event, team, CFL and our awesome Indigenous community and cultures
You could have said you don't like them wearing them for just the warm up rather than calling them stupid imo
This event each year is a highlight for me and it's amazing in every aspect and I hope it grows and we do more. The jerseys raise a lot of money and are an incredible idea and it's fine imo they are used for warm up.
For those that maybe didn't know those jerseys are auctioned off for Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre (WASAC) and so far has raised almost $17,000.

So in other words, we won 40-3 because we just got lucky.
Kenny left feeling disrespected "because we signed Mitchell before him".
Kenny - 2-9 32 yards
Mitchell - 3-3 67 yds 1TD
Sorry Kenny.
Great
Zach Collaros had one of those games where almost everything goes right. He seems to be good for one of those per season. The way Collaros rolled out on a couple of plays reminded me of Tom Clements.
Good
The Blue Bombers scored 34 points on offence on just 7 offensive possessions.
Bad
The Blue Bombers set an unofficial CFL record with only 7 offensive possessions in the game. An offshoot of that is the 16 combined offensive possessions is also an unofficial CFL record. There were 134 plays in the game which is on the low side.
On the opening kickoff, a sideline official tripped over a photographer who appeared to be lying prone on the sideline at the H45. While somewhat comical, it puts the official in a vulnerable position.
The missed convert after the first TD. It appears as though the snap from Leroux is a little inside which forces Sheahan to twist to secure the ball. When Benson was the long snapper, Castillo would miss right sometimes when Sheahan was forced to twist on similar snaps. Is it possible that Sheahan loses his point of reference when he is forced to twist in such a manner?
Ugly
On the missed convert TSN cuts away from the play before it concludes. When they show a replay it is from a camera angle that has an obstructed view because the goalpost is in the way. TSN even made light of the obstructed view. Was this deliberate by TSN?
In the Edmonton-Saskatchewan game, TSN once again showed a replay from an end zone camera that caused an obstructed view of the player they were trying to isolate. Note to TSN, that camera angle will still have the potential for an obstructed view in 2027 (and beyond) because the end posts will still be between the camera and the field. In fact, there is the potential for even more obstructed views from that camera in the future because of the location of the end posts.

Good catch. Now that the league and TSN are basically one entity (TSN insider now the big CFL boss), I have little doubt TSN director is under instruction to show things that make the change ideas look good.
Like there weren't 5 other camera angles for them to show of the
@WPG return. LOL.
And like you said, views will still be obstructed in '27; just in different ways. An S.J. Green circus catch right at the back middle of the EZ for instance. Not only will it be obstructed, but the mythical "player safety" could become a thing as the diving REC could still end up head-first into the post.
P.S. How does the CFL maximize their $ and deal with TSN when they next negotiate if the two sides are basically just one side (TSN)? Commish: "Well, TSN wanted to pay us $10M less this season and we have no choice but to take it, doh."

It happened in the Montreal game where a defender caught a potential interception out of bounds.
Ford said it would be an interception in 2027 with the new endzones but he was wrong as the defender was out of bounds to the side. The length of the field would have made no difference.

Captain Jack (that his name?) and I once spoke for quite a while near the end of his stint on a slow on-field night. He said it's a lawn tractor engine.
Someone probably forgot to change or top up the oil, LOL. Basic maintenance can keep those things going literally forever -- although that one might be punished more than normal lawn use -- all that revving.
No way you go electric with that thing! The noise is half the fun. Plus, the cost would be at least double, and someone would have to remember to charge the darn thing ;) ;)
At least the canon was working. Always a bummer when that thing is busted. P.S. A few games back my son noticed the canon isn't even used anymore, just there for show. They have some sort of alternative device nearby where dudes are messing with it during the game.

Didn't notice that live, but on the highlights it looks like the photographer
might have been off the wide white sideline stripes. That doesn't excuse or diminish the collision, but my understanding is that those are supposed to be kept clear for the officials.

I think they had to shut down the cannon due to noise complaints from neighbours in Fort Richmond and the Victoria Hospital.

I dunno, I feel like a smallish second hand motor and a few deep cycle 12V batteries in series would do the trick for less than $1000. Sure you'd need to charge it, just like you need to add fuel, top up/change oil, filters, and any other maintenance with a small engine. And it would last forever probably. You could add a noise maker maybe for those nostalgic for an old machine's inefficiency :D

Easily, electric motors are cheap now and he could almost fly in that thing if they added a big enough one!

I think it would be a fairly large electric motor, might need more than a few deep cycle batteries.. especially with the number of scoring plays we create.
It also wouldn't have the distinctive gas powered exhaust roar, which is a big part of the celly. Unless you installed the BoomBox electric car noise generator. If I had a Tesla, this would be the first add on I'd buy.

I feel like the main reason is that it's supposed to be a cartoony fun mascot that is family friendly and not invoke war imagery.
And the Bomber plane you're picturing in your head was just being invented in the years that the Bombers began playing. Reminder that they were named after Joe Louis, "The Brown Bomber".
So, we should be using a boxing glove as a mascot?

Really? I always heard (from back at the old stadium) that it was an air cooled VW engine - i.e. from a "bug" or "Beetle". Just like all those old fibreglass "Manx" dune buggies we used to see driving around, and still occasionally see.

My high school buddy had a write-off Bug (bought from the Autopac auction when it was still "Autopac") that we beat so bad back in the day, jumping stuff and abusing it to see how to kill it. He finally drove it off an edge (maybe pushed it? It was still running) at a quarry and watched it roll over sideways just for fun. Could not kill that thing!
I was definitely told it was a lawn tractor engine. Because I instantly compared it to mine -- which does not sound that way. There are varying sizes of tractor engine.
Of course, this assumes The Captain has any idea as to what's under the hood -- is he the mechanic too? Doubtful.
Really nice guy, BTW. Pity him on those 30C days where he has to wear that heavy bomber jacket the entire time.

Probably a lot more comfortable than Buzz and Boomer... at least his face is open.
Depending on the exhaust setup, sound is easily adjusted. It could be a VW (makes sense for the driveline setup) or a tractor, both can be 40-70HP. And if you put no exhaust, of straight pipes, or even a cherry bomb, you can tune the exhaust to the note you prefer.
