we are lucky to have multiple football leagues to follow - those who thumb their nose at the CFL have been missing out. the "big league" starts up and i am excited to see how my Steelers do with a geriatric hall of famer leading them.
lots of good stories going into the season, the Eagles are going to be contenders to repeat.
doing a trip to Dallas for Sunday night football at the end of September - going to see my buddy Jerry (the Netflix documentary is very good)
I can hardly wait for Scott Hansen to say "7 hours of commercial free football..."
holy crow - Micah dealt to the Packers and unless he gets hurt sets up a great showdown for Sunday Night Football in Dallas!!!
going to be epic!!

$188M for 4 years, that is crazy money.
Quite the business of NFL payrolls where a Qb and now prolific pass rusher make over $100M combined
Always cheered for the Packs and now - YAHOO

Can't wait for the Bengals to go 2-0 against the Steelers.
Giants are winning the Superbowl this year ;D
Teams that are interesting.... Rams, Vikings, Broncos Chargers
I follow NFL a bit... Sean Payton is fairly unpopular in general, but when he picked their current qb, he was somewhat laughed at, but Payton was Raving about the guy. And he seems to have been right.quick turnaround would be cool to see.
Chargers... for an obvious reason, the laughs. Cause of their crazy coach.
Vikings... I like their coach,
Rams, coach seems like a good guy and their D line is great, very funny guys on that line. And they are monsters. Another quick turn around team.
Edit, for the Giants fan " [EmpireSportsMedia/Connor Hughes] "I was in the #Giants locker room talking to Jaxson Dart after the preseason game with Jets when Brian Daboll walked over. He shook Dart's hand, looked him straight in eyes and just said 'I love you.' No emotion, no hug. Said it, then walked away.".
Lol... new NFL season : "Let the hokum begin"
... raiders just to see how the old guy does with a new team.
I will also enjoy, in a mean way, watching Aaaaron fail, and the new Jeff fisher take his team to another mediocre season. And be hailed as hof.
wow. before the first series Jalen Carter spits a giant loogie on Dak and gets ejected.
NFL is awesome
huge loss for the Eagles but kudos to the refs for making the right call.
Second half was miserable for the Dak and Lamb combo and
the mighty Eagles, who didn't cover the spread, were victorious

the weather delay sucked the life out of the game...first half was great. I fell asleep and didn't see the last bit. Lamb dropped some catchable balls for sure.
travis kelce destroys xavier worthy with a wicked friendly fire shot to the shoulder...out the game for now
Chiefs lost. ;D
Some decent excitement and yes indeed, solid Kelce hit
Owners, union, league mucky mucks have gotta correct that ability for teams to take victory formations with 2 minutes or less. Paying public is robbed with so many wasted " non-playing" moments. Their 40 second rule is so boring
great football in the early games
Rodgers 4 TD's in his first game as a Steeler - Ramsey with a beautiful hit to seal the victory
Baker with ice in his veins
some kickers having a rough day
NFL is awesome !!
Well that surely was a way to end Sunday night.
vikings vs bears in chicago - let's go!!
game last night was incredible
they bring out jim corneilson for the anthem - crowd goes wild when he starts
caleb williams leans over and says "who is that..?
the dude has some PIPES!!! then a sweet fly by
Imagine blowing a two-score lead. Oh, wait...
Nice come back win by the Vikings.

This is why the Argos can't draw flies, fans drive the hour and a half and take in the NFL games. Change the field and rules all you want to be NFL like, but those fans aren't coming back to the CFL
Winnipeg boy, Theo Johnson, with the Giants opening touchdown.
Has some drop issues, fix that up and he could be a legit TE#1.
Edit: Two TDs now. Keep cooking boy.
Giants fire HC Daboll (https://www.tsn.ca/nfl/article/report-giants-fire-head-coach-daboll-midway-through-fourth-season-at-the-helm/)
Best news of the day.
happy US thanksgiving - took the day off to watch a great slate of games.
The Giants season summed up in one play.
Watched the Detroit game last night, no sign of Manu. The Bomber could us him.
Good opportunity to watch Dee Alford tonight.
One of our best finds.
Update he got an Interception....
Pretty bad game with some great plays by individuals, and bad coaching.
The NFL Over reliance on analytics is starting to produce some bad coaching decisions.
And clock management .... Not great last night.

Chiefs eliminated.
Certainly am glad I'm not gambling cuz sure didn't expect
the Cowboys, Chiefs to lose must win games.
Also if playing the spread, how bout old man Rivers doing his
part, along with the defence, in the Colts only loss by 2.
Sadly, Parsons and Mahomes seasons ended with terrible injuries
what a weekend of football.
incredible finishes in a number of games. my Steelers pulled out a crazy win, how long DK gets suspended for is the question.
some great cinema and the top teams are emerging. playoffs are going to be so much fun!!

Agree, there have been some very entertaining games.
There's been some hilarious ineptitude in "the league"
Running up the to playoffs.
My favourite.... Steelers can't beat the three win Browns to clinch their playoff spot.
2 pretty good games yesterday. Nice come back by the Bears.
Bye Eagles Bye!
Steelers HC Tomlin resigns (https://www.tsn.ca/nfl/article/report-tomlin-steps-down-as-steelers-coach-after-19-seasons/)
Holy smokes. After the initial few first downs by the Steelers
it absolutely became the Texans Dmen show
Tomlin and his staff had no answers to help their men
Good decision by coach Tomlin to step aside
texans vs rams in the superbowl
winner - texans
Who wins this weekend?
Patriots, Bills, Rams, Seahawks (niners if Sam Darnold has a bad game)
I'm actually hoping for niners.
The games have been really entertaining so far
Seahawks kickoff return td !
John Harbaugh officially hired with the Giants. We're so back.
Bo Nix broke a bone in his ankle and will be out for the rest of the playoffs.
Unreal. Stidham ain't going to do anything.
Shocking news about Nix, who most definitely played a magnificent role in eliminating my Bills
Though I am a 49's fan, the Seahawks did not show weaknesses in smothering Purdy and the much depleted San Fran lineup
It's remarkable that the Patriots recovered so quickly. Three years? While other teams can't do anything for decades.
Entertaining games so far... even Seahawks crushing the niners.
Defence and running is back in the NFL.
Anyone watching Singleton lighting things up for the Broncos in this post-season? Making FF's, tough tackles, directing things. I'm very glad he's down south and not doing those things for CGY...
So far I find the current NFL playoffs sloppy and mostly unentertaining. I can't believe the number of whiffs, dropsies and fumbles. And the nonchalant attitude of many QBs when they start getting down. Where are the coaches and leaders to get the morale back up?
I compare to the '25 CFL playoffs which were far more entertaining, to me at least.
Maybe it'll get better next week when the lesser teams have been eliminated. So far it's pretty clear the better teams (and mostly the favorites) are the ones advancing.

Can't argue with that. It actually makes it more entertaining for me than the way it used to be... kind of robotic.
Game today one qb fumbled four times and threw two picks.
Edit.. on the other hand there are insane plays like this
70 yds in the air falling backwards td pass

Broncos/ Bills game was the best game of the weekend. However the with Nix getting injured, New England has very good chance at beating the Broncos at Home. Seahawks/Rams should be a very good game.

The NFL draft when broncos got Bo Nix, I happened to hear Sean Payton talking about it.
He was very excited, and said he was surprised that they even had a chance to get Nix.
And Nix was not highly touted pre draft.
He's a bit over the top, but Payton is a really good football coach and player evaluator.
It's going to be interesting to see how Stidham does...
Alex singleton.... Fun to see him doing well.
Update: the final Bears game was pretty fun. The 4th & 4 TD was insane. Talk about miracles. (Why didn't one of the 3 guys who had the QB in his sights just make a bee-line sprint? All of them did the hold up let's do contain thing -- it would only take 1 or 2 -- oh well.)
But for all the much vaunted "best players eva" NFL I've seen maybe 5 plays so far in the post-season that CFL guys probably couldn't do (outside of Dressler, Burnham, and Flyin' Hawaiian).
I guess I just expect too much.
Patriots broncos... Patriots should win....
Seahawks Rams... close game.
NFL fans are more interested in the coaching changes than the actual games.
The Pats will never have a better chance to go to the finale
Broncos dmen will have their tongues hanging out by the 4thQ.
Pats will win and likely the Seahawks

You mean they lose interest once their team is out? Could be. But Some of the teams have been out for months
But they, the NFL have record numbers watching the games this season.
I think it's whatever is the most controversial gets the attention.
Like firing Harbaugh.

No one cares about the games until they start, unless you're a part of those particular fanbases.

Denver with some great D. But, only one play on O.

Why? You think Pats are going to destroy them? I want to see Pats win another one like I want a hole in the head. No thanks. That's like being in 2019 and wanting to see CGY in another GC. Some teams you get bored of winning all the time.
Since I have family in Washington/Idaho, and this is "their team", I'll have to root for Seahawks. They have better looking uniforms anyhow.
Read all the posts, you will see I am a SD fan, so it's the Seahawks for me.
McCaffery wins come back player of the year. 1202 yards rushing, and another 924 yards receiving. After season ending Achilles tendinitis, and PCL injuries.

He takes a beating. Hard to understand how he keeps going.
I hope the game is good. Darnold wasn't really that good all season, led the league in qb turnovers.
There are a few former Bombers doing well as nfl coaches.... Tee Martin was Lamar Jackson qb coach.
Darnold had one bad game in the regular season where he threw 4 Ints.
Playoffs 0 Ints.
Last game. 25/36, 346 yards, 3 TDs, 0 Ints.

He had 12 completions against the depleted niners defence for 124 yds.
Qb rating regular season 56 espn.
I am no expert but I think that is not that good.
I like Darnold, he makes some great passes, seems like a good person, I hope he has a good game.

12/17, 124 yards, 70.6 CMP%, in a 41-6 blowout. As long as they don't turnover the ball, the Seahawks will be fine.
Pretty cool
Two of the Seahawks starting O lineman graduated together from NDSU played for the Bisons
Grey Zabel Seahawks first round pick,
and
Jalen Sundell (born October 18, 1999. He played college football for the North Dakota State Bison and was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2024. After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL draft, Sundell signed with the Seattle Seahawks on July 23, 2024.[4] Sundell made the cut of the Seahawks' initial 53-man roster out of training camp, and appeared in 12 games for the team during his rookie campaign.
Entering the 2025 season, Sundell was named Seattle's starting center,"
Seahawks..... the Best guy starts. Seems to be working.
There must be an o lineman from there we can get.
Aaron Donald says Seahawks will win.
All defence.
Quite the snoozer. Seahawks' defense was lights out, though.
The domination by the Seahawks defensive group certainly turned the Super Bowl spectacle into a somewhat "can't wait for the end"
Sure, I was hoping that the Pats offensive style could plan and execute, but alas, the favorite definitely put the game to bed very early
Well done Seahawks
Crowd for Seahawks parade is very large
