Thanks for letting us know. Been way too long since I went. One year I'll return.
I'll update as special events are announced.
Thanks Mania
I'm already in! Got great lower bowl seats to. :)
See you that weekend!
I'm on the fence. It'll likely be a loss (unless we waste MTL tomorrow), and my littlest kid can't handle bad losses. Wife won't let me go unless I take the whole crew...
I'll be eyeballing the forecast. If there's bad weather by some stroke of luck, I may snatch some cheapos on stubhub and drive out last minute. I don't mind a rain game.
Actually a rain game should help us. SSK can run, but they are more reliant on a zillion little passes to run their normal O.
I have a feeling that one way or another we'll be back in SSK come post-season: I can get my Regina fix in then.
I've never been to a Labour Day classic game, or any game there for that matter.
I'm tempted to go, especially since I can't be at the Banjo Bowl this year.
Is there any chance of getting decent tickets this late? Lower bowl, upper bowl, but good view? I wouldn't want to drive all that way and not have a good experience, will there be tickets last minute (as in a day or two ahead) for decent seats?

It's fun. I love going to WPG @ SSK games. You should go for it.
Their stadium is kind of a copy of ours. All seats between the 25's are good.
Keep an eye on stubhub and the fans first or whatever it's called. (TM is useless for resale as they never let it go below face value.) If you can hold out until the last minute (like day/night before or morning-of) then there's usually someone trying to unload (got sick last minute, car broke down, whatever).
However, if there's exceptionally high demand because their team is looking like world-beaters for the first time in years, then prices may remain well above face.
If the forecast sours, we can all get tickets less than face as a huge dump will occur.
If you're just needing a single ticket, regardless of weather you can often find a deal because singles are very hard to re-sell.

Thanks - this is really helpful!
I actually went into the stadium a couple summers ago when I was at a hockey thing next door for my daughter. It was open so I walked in and checked it out. The seats aren't as nice (the actual seats - seemed a bit smaller, less room in lower bowl). It definitely seemed like any rain would hit almost everyone in lower bowl. I don't care about that if going there for a game, just comparing to our stadium - most of lower bowl on sides are covered. I'm row 3 and I don't get very wet if it is raining. that's a big difference.
I didn't walk around much though, so I wonder what it is like for that? It is annoying in our stadium, especially when morons stand around in a circle where people are trying to walk by. Again, no issue for going to a game there, just wondering how it all compares to our stadium.
So thank you for the advice - I will watch this a bit. It may just be time to finally make the trek!
More room in concourses. A lot more, I'd say.
I think it's 6 flights of stairs to get to upper (compared to our 4), so many will not want to be going up/down much once you're in your spot.
If you want chow, get it by the end of half time. Every time I've been there they are sold out of many/most real food choices by mid-3rd Q. Always strikes me as completely braindead. (Might be just the upper level, since that's usually where I sit.)

I believe Bonfire Sports has been promoting a bus tour to the LDC through the 1930 Crew and there may still be a few seats left which is a much better experience than going by yourself. Everything is included and you'll get decent seats sitting with a mob of crazy Bomber fans.

Not sure I want to pay $300 a ticket for 200-level times 3 if the game stays in high demand... I spend a lot on CFL, but I'm not nuts.
And it's not looking great for a win unless SSK takes tons of injuries vs CGY. You try sitting with a crying very young girl for an hour post-game!
Tell you what, if we start getting rain looks by the day before, I'll be there. And I don't see how I won't be at a potential SSK home playoff game in the cold...

As for the the toilet seat (Mosaic) the concourses are large and inclosed with brick Tyndall stone.
The seats are flimsy and green. They fit me like a glove but bigger trunk dudes will need to suck it in to fit at all.

Basically! Small kids (well 1 is small). I could do it... I can have & negotiate anything, but it would probably come at a steep price on the other side! Plus, I really love being with my kids. It turns out I'm raising quite a football family.
Just need to get over the cry-when-lose thing with the youngest. So weird, my son never cried at the (rare) loss. The daughter... everything is emotional! Maybe another year or 2...
I'm hoping for bad weather, as now I'm looking forward to us all going. I really do love it at LDC. Always fun.

Mosaic has "premium" seats which are still affordable. Not high end or super high end (not Pinnacle), but "better than normal". There's really no equivalent at PAS. (Mosaic does "perfect price discrimination" much better than we do.)
If you are bigger/taller, the premium areas have bigger seats and each seat has a gap to the next seat, and more leg room. It's quite nice.
I sat there last time I went LDC. My only gripe is the cheapest of the premium is down near the 25ish, which is a little farther away from C than I'm accustomed to.
Let's get down to business. The bombers have some injured receivers. I believe ND10 will be back, but does Max draw in for Sterns, or is DS83 ready to go??
Like to see Houston get into the line up. Probably replaces Lawson.
Can we keep BO20 rolling.
Riders are favoured by 5.5
We shouldnt bring in Schoen if theres a risk of aggravating his injury.
If we have to wait a week thats ok Better than the season
Quote from: Pigskin on August 24, 2025, 11:08:31 PMCan we keep BO20 rolling.
Going to be hard. SSK limited Mills pretty well in the first H.
SSK D is basically built around stopping the run and getting pass pressure. That's how they can afford to have a weaker DB corps. Mace's whole philosophy is to own that line.
There will be a lot of 0 & 1 yard runs up the gut in the first half. How long do we sacrifice first down production to play the "keep them honest" game. Maybe Brady bouncing outside at times might help. We also can't just fake to Brady on RPO every time. Sometimes you have to "R" it or they won't bite.
Maybe just bypassing their strength by going pass/sweep-mostly is the key. And including Brady as a fake blocker for dump passes might help. Throw it to Ike and Eli too.

We would be in first place if the Bombers sweep the Riders and the Elks sweep the Stamps. The Bombers would be in first because they would have won the season series vs the Riders and the Stamps would be two points back.
No injury report (no practice) for EITHER WPG or SSK? Do both teams practice Tues? This will be one interesting week for injuries. I can't wait to see if T.Harris get a "vet day"...
Edit:
SSK practices are: Wed 10:40am, Thu 10:40am, Fri closed practice.
So we won't hear anything from them until Wed.

Now we have to worry about Kramdi not playing? That would screw with the ratio and we'd see a lot more of Jake Kelly.
Not worried about Nic, he will play. Kramdi was doing some running and acceleration drills. He might need a couple of days and a roll of tape. Sterns I would say will be at least one game. Definitely having some right shoulder issues.

Boy, the more I watch these and listen to coaches show, the more I think MOS hates DT. Maybe not as a person, but he hates the way he thinks and his questions. DT is a nerd, a numbers/stats guy. MOS hates numbers.
He's actually a bit snarky & mean to DT, which he doesn't do to the other reporters.
It's kind of funny, but sad, at the same time. DT's a trooper for taking it week after week and putting a happy face on it all.

Agree. My theory is that it was a big change from Bob Irving who asked questions that seemed designed to promote the Bombers. DT gets right to it. They get along a bit better now than at first I think.
Are you sure MOS is not just getting more snarky though? On this weeks coaches show MOS was asked when or how many practices and he gave an answer so vague you didn't know what he would do. Like it's a state secret. I get the feeling he would prefer all practices closed. They post the times late if at all. Last one on the bomber website is Aug 3.

Largely the reason I stopped listening to the Coach's Show and most of the pressers years ago. Much adieu about nothing, just going through the paces and waiting for it to be over. Whatever - if he's winning, I don't care as much.
It's when Kyle Walters speaks that you want to tune in. That's the good stuff fans want to hear about. You'd think someone is holding his mom hostage in North Korea the way that man shows his cards and I am here for it

Probably not worth signing a long-term deal while the coaching cap is in place, remuneration could all of a sudden improve quickly. If it was eliminated the Bombers would be in a better financial position to reward their staff than any other CFL team.

Demski/Schoen/Sterns:
Derek Taylor@DTonOB
REC Nic Demski has his helmet today. That's a step forward. Still no Jerreth Sterns (expected with him being on 1-game injured list).
Ed Tait@EdTaitWFC
Good to see both Nic Demski and Dalton Schoen in gear at @Wpg_BlueBombers practice.
Gavin Cobb getting the bulk of work in Demski's spot, FYI. Same as on Tuesday.
Houston:
Derek Taylor@DTonOB
Some reps for DB Demerio Houston with the 1s in place of Dexter Lawson.
And now some reps for Houston in place of Trey Vaval at the other corner.
Ed Tait@EdTaitWFC
Demerio Houston getting more work with the defensive starters at @Wpg_BlueBombers practice

OUCH UPDATE: Some more good news on the injury front, although it's not yet a green light — Nic Demski, who left last week's win over Montreal in the first half, was back practising on Wednesday. He wasn't a full participant, with Gavin Cobb still getting a lot of work in his place, but was back in a helmet and shoulder pads.
As well, OL Micah Vanterpool, DB Enock Makonzo and LB Jonathan Jones were all full participants.

So, Alford/Bane back probably hurts us. Lokombo/Sayles out helps us.
I think Lokombo presents a ratio issue for them?
They replaced Lokombo with Ford last game, who's also a Nat. He wasn't very good IMO.
I'm assuming if Bane comes on, its for Robustelli. Meyers and Johnson have been pretty good for them.

Ajou Ajou was just cut by the Colts and passed waivers, if he comes back to the Riders it could spell the end for a Natl. receiver, Tommy Nield, Duncan-Busby, Picton or D'Sean Mimbs one of which likely becomes available. Considering the Bombers Natl. receiver depth is atrocious, they could do worse.

It would be hilarious if we picked up Picton and turned him into the next Demski or McInnis. Greenies always hate it when their guys leave and instantly become superstars on other teams.
That said, I'm not excited about any of those guys. Picton has been demoted to backup for a while now. Busby hasn't shown anything more than Corcoran (ya he has more starts/stats), Nield I never liked in any team, but maybe has the most upside.

Yes, there were open practices Tues & Wed with a closed practice today.
Typically teams practice on days 1,2,3. This year the Blue Bombers have been practicing on days 0,1,2 from time to time. Day 4 is the walkthrough.
Coach O'Shea has told the media that it is something new they are trying this year. The players get day 3 of practice off to let their bodies recover.
We all know Mike O'Shea likes to divulge as little information about injuries as possible. It appears as though teams are not required to produce an injury report for day 0 practices.

Yeah and I understand that, but as a fan I have two sides of me: the side that just wants to win at all costs, and the side that wants to take in all the facets and interesting parts of the game which necessitates as much info as I can get.
Again, I'm more of the first type when we are actually able to win all the time.

Well, yes and no. MTL O never being on the field did help WPG play "Bomber ball", which allows for more runs and a steady Brady clock-control plan.
If Alexander was in there driving 80Y for TDs every possession chewing up clock, we would definitely have to switch gears a bit.

Super disappointing, most CFL players cut by the NFL read the tea leaves and are already returning to their CFL teams. If Pokie doesn't show up within the next week, that might be an indication some players don't feel the love in the locker room others speak about. As noted before, Zach makes great connections with some receivers, others he tries not to yell at.
Its still early. Practice rosters were only finalized yesterday. I'm hoping Walters is negotiating with Wilson, and something will be announced soon.

If IR situation is dire, maybe. If REC IR situation is stable, then yes I do think MOS would make him PR for 1-4 weeks. Look how long he made Lucky sit on PR even though we didn't have a returner!!
So you can go try out for the NFL, but don't expect to just start back where you left off, over guys that went through training camp and practiced for 10 weeks? So we start Cobb, Corcoran, and Mitchell over Wilson? That would be a mistake...but to be honest I would not be completely surprised.

Leg cramps are the chosen excuse.

I also believe that Harris wants another contract for next season but he will be 40 so he has to show them he can take the hits. It will be interesting to see what happens if he goes down as I believe that Maier is not capeable of lrading the Riders and their other QB is strickly a short yardage player. Could we see a losing run for that team and they drop like a stone in the standings?
You also don't get a concussion every time you fall down guys.
Wow, the hatred and concussion speculation is unreal. If Harris was concussed I m thinking he'd be the first to get the appropriate rest and attention. Let it go already.

Best post of the issue. So this.
Zach's completed his bucket list so many times he has 10 filled buckets hanging on his bedroom wall. He doesn't have to do or prove anything.
Trevor knows this is probably his last, best chance in this season right now.
You know what? I'd get up too. Roll the dice and be a hero. The only downside is slightly more brain scrambling and not being able to complete the season. Game theory:
1. Stay down, miss 1-2 games, team no longer wins W, probably miss the cup
2. Get up, get concussed (worse) again, out 2-4 games, probably miss the cup
3. Get up, act like everything is fine, answer NO to all the fabled "concussion protocol" questions (it's all subjective, there's no objective "test"), probably win the W, easy cup shot, maybe win the cup, total hero and legend in Riderville forever
#1 & #2 have the same outcome. Only #3 getting up and ignoring the risk gets you anything. Given the downsides, which aren't much worse than the status quo, I bet 100% of QBs who haven't won cups pick #3. Wouldn't you?
Quote from: Jesse on August 30, 2025, 06:27:16 PMYou also don't get a concussion every time you fall down guys.
Every time you fall back first
and your head snaps back and whacks the turf? I know that for
Zach that's leave-the-game time EVERY TIME.
So the only questions then are, is Trevor's brain in the same shape as Zach's? Anywhere close? Older/younger?
Because if Trevor's brain is anywhere at all near Zach's then, yes, he got a concussion. Ya, maybe minor. It wasn't a super hard/fast head-to-turf whack. Maybe on the lighter side compared to Zach's (he seemed to support it better and shoulders were more curled off the ground). But the oldsters can have trouble from even a minor concussion.
One more thing: if Trevor's zombie walk wasn't cramps, but was concussion, then let's note that we've NEVER seen Zach do that zombie walk in all his time here. Now that's because either he waits long enough on the turf for the zombie phase to pass, OR he's never taken that bad a concussion. Or both. And that should wake a lot of people up.
Quote from: dd on August 31, 2025, 04:02:51 AMWow, the hatred and concussion speculation is unreal.
Who's hating? It looks more like to me that the "concussions theorists" are the ones concerned about Trevor's health: it's the people hand-wavingly dismissing the zombie walk as "totally can't be concussion!" who are doing him a disservice.
I'm saying maybe hold him a week like we always do Zach. How does that hurt? Does the lust for a "good game" override that?
The beauty is... we may find out in a few short hours who is right! It's a good thing for Trevor we a) have a bad pass rush, b) even worse with no depth or IMP at DT today, c) probably are going in full knockdown mode, d) even if we make it to the QB, usually go for fumbles rather than hellacious hits.
But you never know! Blitzes might make up for our weak rush. Tony Jones is probably the best candidate to actually record a legit sack.

Okay, Techno, enough.
You can pretend you know more than the actual medical doctors on the sideline. More than the independent spotters from the league up top. More than Trevor Harris himself. More than his coach. You can pretend you know Harris' medical history, and you can pretend your x-ray vision can deduce calf cramps from concussion calf cramps.
You can also pretend that you can diagnose concussions from your basement couch and PVR.
But do not portray the situation as if your weird little pseudo-pretend, PVR-enabled medical degree is somehow more valuable or correct than all of the above. It is not.

Well said. Enough of this crap already!!
Whack your head on the ground, and stay down even a second, and you get pulled by a spotter. Waiver as you rise, pulled. And that's great for player health and safety.
Harris does NOT want to get pulled. That's not in his psyche. He plays for Mace, who I don't think wants to see that either.
The issue that arises is if Harris stays in the game when compromised, and gets taken out with a legal hit, it might end up a penalty for appearances sake. On the other hand, it could lead to a turnover.
If Harris wants to play when he shouldn't its not our fault if he gets hurt or turns over the ball.
Quote from: Sir Blue and Gold on August 31, 2025, 03:06:30 PMpretend your x-ray vision can deduce calf cramps from concussion calf cramps.
Show me one other CFL video where a QB gets up from a body/heat hit and does this zombie walk and is
not concussed. Just one. I'll wait.
Show me one other CFL video where a hit
that had nothing to do with legs suddenly caused severe "calf cramps". Just one. I'll wait.
I don't know for sure anything about Trevor, and neither do you. I work off probabilities and analysis and research. J5V already showed you how concussion can cause cramp-like effects. I add in everything I've watched since Ricky Ray and Cornish were doing the walking-falling-down thing when they were too old and concussion-prone to take those hits anymore. And add in 6 years of closely studying and worrying about Zach.
I bring everything together and I deduce what is most likely. And what is most likely here is he was concussed. You have come to a different conclusion, good for you. Your guess is no more valid than mine. At least I detail my entire argument. Yours above is nothing but an appeal to authority fallacy: "Would all of muh authoritah be wrong?"
Now we've seen the LDC, was Trevor in top form? Why not? 200 yards? That's 150 less than his norm. Was it because of our fearsome pass rush and our wicked and stacked DT roster? Was it because of our top-notch pass-stopping LBer corps? (I'm joking on both, if it's not obvious.)
But hey, they got away with it. Trevor took no real head hit, and usually it's this first week after concussion that is the danger zone. So for SSK it's just as good as if they had kept him out. So risk taken, reward gained for Trevor & SSK. And as I said before, I'd have taken the risk too. He gets another whole week before the BB, giving him 2 full weeks for the brain matter to heal. All's well that ends well. Until the next one. Let's see him explain away the zombie walk next time.
