I was there so I got no detail on what happened to him. Sports ticker says "upper body". Any insight or team updates?
No updates, you know we'll never get a clear update from the team.

After the game they were emphasizing it wasn't a head injury, and speculated arm or thorax.. hopefully not something like a torn pectoral or other long term issue.
The fact he didn't come back out, even in street clothes, is troubling.
That means he was getting treatment that whole time. Was it just ice to keep swelling down? How long does an injured player need to stay in the tub after an injury?
We will have to wait until they tell us what it was, at least it rules out a knee, hip or hamstring.
First indications will be the open practice reports from reporters and the injury reports.
We'll have a much better idea around the severity game day roster reveal. He'll be on the roster, one game, or six game, I guess.
Just as important will be seeing how Nathan Rourke is doing over in Vancouver. Man, he must hate coming to Winnipeg.
On the broadcast they showed him looking groggy. I took that to be a concussion protocol safety issue. He was on the field for the Demski TD after his own long play on the sideline. It did appear that he was taken down hard and his head might had struck the turf.
So nothing official and even a concussion protocol could keep him out of another game. IIRC I saw him on the sideline later and he seemed in good spirits. I noted that he didn't seem to be having an issue with his right shoulder which had been in consideration as a possible injury.
He probably gets a lighter practice schedule this week. However I honestly believe he will play.
The daily practice IR reports are close to meaningless. We probably see him listed as DNP with upper body injury. I'd say it's day to day assessment until he's listed as " out ".
this is from Farhan:
Hearing that Brady Oliviera could miss multiple games with a shoulder injury. Still further evaluation required.
farhan is a respected guy - could be true.

I'm OK with riding with Peterson and Chris-Ike until Brady is 100%. We going to need him to play BradyBall in October.

Wonder if it's a separated shoulder? Sometimes the grading and diagnosing the severity of that takes some time.
Darren bauming postgame thought shoulder for Brady.
He fell on his chest smack flat into the ground with a defender pushing him down and landing on him.
Bad news but next man up. Can we get Cooley in if he is out, might be tough to juggle that imo. I am fine with the Peterson and Chris-Ike combo platter

That would be tragic for Brady. It wouldn't help the team either but he works so hard to be lost for an extensive time after 4 plays in 2025.
Sure didn't look like a severe injury, he stayed in for the next play, but you could see him flexing his right hand in the huddle. I would say a minor tweak in the shoulder, kept out for precaution. I would bet he is good to go on Saturday.
you need some sort of backup for peterson don't you?
Shoulder makes sense. When Oliveira walked back to the huddle he had one shoulder noticeably lower than the other (often an indication of a shoulder injury).
On CJOB
In Q3 Derek Taylor mentioned that they got a detailed injury report but wouldn't divulge the details. During the postgame show a highlight package was playing on TV (makes for great radio). Doug Brown commented after on the run that Brady landed on his shoulder.
I hope the Bombers let him heal fully . I also hope for a speedy recovery.

Yes but Chris-Ike may have to fill that role. There is risk for any starter being injured and having good depth especially when we're speaking about Canadian players.
Yes it's possible we activate Cooley but at what cost in the ratio. He'd have to be used more than just emergency depth to be worthwhile in deleting another import.
I don't want to write off Sterns but he didn't seem to add value. It might be where I'd make that change if we had to. Then add Cobb as depth at receiver.
Roster size and ratio always something to consider.

I hope your right but I think be out a few games, guessing!
Our running game didn't suffer at all with BO out and Peterson in. Whatever BO's injury is, get him 100% healthy and let Peterson run the rock in the meantime and show us more of what he can do. Love what I saw yesterday, that explosive big TD run was a killer!!

I'll hit up the computer PVR tricks to see what I can see...

a) Teams now have film on unknown Peterson. He'll have a harder outing next time.
b) Peterson benefited from Strev being a legit run threat. All the not-so-great Strev runs made BC have to respect that we're going to run Strev with wild abandon. With Zach in there is zero QB run threat.
If it was me, if Brady is IR, I would totally activate Cooley to also see what he's got and give BC yet another feisty RB with no film to face. If Neuf is NOT a "GTD" next week, then we could possibly put Wallace at LG if that was the "desired" OL plan... Wallace may have been not-at-LG because we needed a starter if Neuf was out.
It didn't help that Brady didn't have any clue that tackler from behind was coming. He was concerned with the guy over his left shoulder. Old Man Peters did an amazing job to get after it after he shed his block.
Not knowing the hit was coming, and it being a pseudo-horsecollar (grabbing over the shoulder to the front numbers to drag down), meant BO20 was probably vulnerable. If he knew it was coming he may have taken a step OOB.

You certainly nailed that synopsis.
