So the latest rumour on the 2025 CFL Schedule release is "early January". Apparently there has been more discussion around optimum playing dates (during the week games) for next season.
I don't want to see a GC rematch in week 1. Like last season, we'll get creamed, especially whilst working the kinks out with a new OC!
There was a year a couple of years back where we didn't get the rematch until late in the season, right? Ya, do that again.

I think the league did that intentionally because they thought it was the best way to kick off the new season with a great game, so I wouldn't expect them to change their strategy to suit the Bombers preference for an easier start.
I wonder if the FIFA World Cup is affecting the 2025 schedule.
In 2026, FIFA has full control of BMO Field & BC Place to start the season (BC Place is not available to the Lions until mid July). The Toronto Argonauts & BC Lions are going to drive the schedule in 2026 for both home dates and byes.
Perhaps the remaining teams are trying to get their asks in for the 2025 season knowing that it will be much harder to do so in 2026.
From Milt Stegall. Sounds like the release of the 2025 CFL schedule is imminent...

The 2025 @CFL schedule is done. #PaperPlates
I hope we continue to get more weekend games. I don't really care though.

Weekend
evenings! I hate the 2pm ones, though I can make an exception for the Banjo Bowl.
Latest rumour on the release of the 2025 schedule is this week.
It's releasing today.
Here
We don't play an eastern team until Tor week 8?

Not much to complain about. Nicely spaced bye weeks.
Nice mixture of Thursday and cherished weekend games.
Dislike starting with a bye and having another withing the summer. The summer games are the best part about being a STH and we're leaving a couple on the table with this schedule, including a late fall one against Sask which would be an easy sellout and raucous crowd on a Friday night in June or July.
Overall I think this schedule fares poor against previous years.
Riders 5 times including 2 back to backs? Gonna get tired of seeing those guys this year.

6 times if you include us kicking their @**es in the West Final again

I have to agree. Only one home game in July is a disappointment.
2 BYE weeks in the first third of the season is going to be rough during the last half of the season.
- Argos home & home in summer... meh. At least we don't have to suffer a week 1 GC rematch loss again.
- 3x 2pm Sat games (2 at home) excluding 3pm Banjo Bowl! Did CTV renew? I hate early games.
- 2 Oct home games vs 1 in 2024. We may not be so lucky with the warm weather this time.
- Week 1 bye is so lame. So now we can be extra super duper rusty out of TC/PS?
- CGY 3 times instead of the "hard" teams, yay! The other 3x team is SSK, but that's pretty normal. At least we don't have to face 3x BC this year.
- 11 week stretch between byes! Ouch. Players are moaning as we speak.
- 5x Thursday games? Isn't that 1 or 2 more than last year? Oh well, we proved we can easily sell those things out. I like Thurs!
- Thurs 8pm game; haha, that will be a late one. I foresee many vacay days taken that Fri.
- Final 2 games are at home in mid/late Oct, which if freezing may help us make up any W's ground we may require to lock up the division. Hard to beat WPG at home in the cold.
- Only 1 away game in SSK this year means only 1 chance to make a fun trek to Regina. It probably guarantees a Mosaic sellout.
- Overall a similar feel to last season, minus the GC rematch week 1. I think it looks pretty good!
