IDK. It's odd that they released some players from the PR last week and then added them back on this week. It's not unusual to re-sign players that were on the PR post season.
The mostly likely to get an invite for TC would be the Canadians, but that's just a guess. We have some 2024 draft choices that will be back plus those drafted in 2025.
There are 3 global players on the PR today. As I've said in the past, what a waste of roster space IMO.

Case never did too much when he did play. Never really dropped a kick/punt, but never a threat to break one either. I guess with all the injuries this season for receivers he was kept around for insurance

Have to remember not too many players agree to spend a second year on the PR, so there could be many they've held onto that won't survive beyond TC as hard decisions need to be made. There's going to be tremendous competition for positions next season, seeing how so many players on the roster have been sharing reps. over this season and haven't earned the starter title. It's going to get absolutely crazy when they bring in all the new off-season recruits, plus old and new draft picks in the spring.

Yah, that seems like a real easy cut along with Myron Mitchell and anyone else that tried to win the job of returner this season, with the exception of Lucky.

Many accept new contracts to return to TC the following season. Some will still get released as new candidates are found. Others will get released during TC. A couple will stick and might may the AR in 2025 due to injuries or roster losses during the off season.
What surprised me somewhat is that they added them to the 1 game IR last week. The means more money then on the PR but it's outside the SMS as post regular season. So it's operations cost and does keep them under contract. It also indicates a " fairness " by the team for sticking around I suppose.
$750 PR money becomes a $4K game check for those moved to the 1 game. Not a big financial hit.
We'll see which make it to TC and / or beyond and whether any of those still on the PR get re-signed. 8 of those on the 1 game IR did see some time on the AR this season. In some cases very brief and others spent a lot more.
I don't know if Cole is actually injured but it's too bad there may not be room on the AR for him this week. There could be a big role for him in 2025.

Post season money is paid by the league, no? Do players on IR get those cheques?
Players finishing the year on IR get continued medical coverage for their injuries / rehab, do they not? For up to a full year, if I'm not mistaken. COuld be a reason for the move.

I think they're back to the state they were in a few years ago, in that there'll be very few positions to compete for next TC. They have a plethora of talent already and depending who leaves or retires, very few actual job openings.

I don't think that is true. We're going to have about 25+ players that are potential free agents.
Schoen, Lawler, Bryant, Neufeld, Lofton, Dobson, Ford, Holm, Alexander, Bighill, Wilson, Jefferson, Gauthier, Cole, Jones, Castillo, Benson, Sheehan, Haba, Garbutt, Fox, Thomas, Schmekel, Streveler, Kelly and Noah Hallett are listed on the unofficial list. Whitehead probably signed a 1 year deal. There may be some inaccuracies but the list will be long.
We're going to need to find money to give to Holm, Ford, Jones and Dobson. Where SMS might come from is a TBD.
We'll get most back but something has to give every off season.
Note: Every other free agency list declared for other teams is also extensive as it is every year.
