I'll be hanging in the Blue Bombers man cave with a few choice guests. Nothing crazy!
Love to hear your favourite areas to watch the game like watering holes, legions, house party, flying down to take part in all the parties and big game, to stressed to even watch it perhaps :D , etc...
Jayrock's family will sure be pumped for this one!

Are there smores involved?
I'll be watching it in Barcelona, Spain, on CFL+ getting ready to fly home the following Monday! ;)

Isn't Jayrock's wife a Bomber fan.
Well, it's going to be a busy week. Headed to BC on Thursday morning for the GC. The ladies in our family are headed to Toronto Friday morning for the Taylor Swift concert on Friday night. Then my wife and granddaughter will arrive in BC on Saturday to join us for the GC.
We will be joining good friends to watch the game in Calgary. Always a fun time that I use my once a year gamble of $10.00.
Heading to Vancouver on Wednesday.
Condo streaming from Maui
We're having some friends and family over. I'm smoking a pork shoulder and making some burn-your-mouth-off chicken wings. Really looking forward to it.
Heading to Vancouver on Friday. Go blue. Kids are looking forward to GC festivities and Jonas Bros at halftime
We are flying to vancouver on Thursday.
Have our 3 day Festival Passes and Grey Cup tickets.
We visit ALL team rooms and enjoy visiting other CFL fans.
Even wearing my Riders jersey, Bomber fans welcome me and treat us well, that's what Grey Cup is all about.
Hard to say......but Go Bombers!

You have a great time Pal! I am eternally jealous!

That it is. GC is so nice. Just uber-CFL fans who love the game no matter the team (well, except the homers who can be casuals).
From the sounds of it on the green forum, there will be a lot of Rider fans there. Always are.

Thanks Mania! Class act.
I'm going too, with 2 young kids.
I wanted to mention that MOS in the WDF trophy acceptance speech explicitly put out an appeal for WPG fans to get out to BC en masse. I don't recall him doing that for past cups.
I really appreciate that, as sometimes it feels like teams take the traveling fans for granted. Also, a pre-shoutout like this could help spur fence-sitters to attend.
I think MOS wants a "home feel" GC like 2019 was. So much blue there in '19. So much noise. I hope the BC fans take our side, since we didn't bump them off this post-season (SSK gets to be the villain there), and the in-season record was WPG 2, BC 1, which is close to a wash.
So if you're on the fence still, MOS says you gotta go! Hustle!

Well, it will be easier to go if corporate partner Westjet added some flights.

She is, and so our the kids....the invite list has gone out for the party. I will be in charge of all the cooking, cleaning and refilling of drinks, as per the norm of not having a team play in the big game. If the weather holds we will have a tv and fire pit outside, and two tvs going in the house.

They never do. I always say, they should have two planes (metaphorically) set aside for GC weekend where they has no source city set yet. Then the instant the DF's are over they assign them to the DF winner cities. CFL can announce the flights as their partners and say the prices are good.
Flights should be on Fri and Mon.
I bet you in the USA they do that for the Superbowl!
I will point out one little trick you can try: fly into the next closest airport instead, sometimes the GC doesn't affect them at all. For instance, this year I think the other BC airport is Abbotsford? Rent a car, bingo presto, problem solved. That's what I did via TOR for HAM last year.
I guess for Vancouver you could also fly into Seattle! Though that would add some extra hassle :D :D :D
I usually have a party but not this year due to a very busy day entertaing a large group for dinner Saturday. One of the group will likely offer up a party but, as I'm "the food guy" in the group, it usually involves me doing a pile of work in an unfamiliar kitchen so, pass.
Anyone know of a great place to watch the game where drinks and food are available? Preferably Southend? Smitty's? BP?

I just had a look at prices and there isn't much difference between YVR & YXX. Fly into YVR, it's closer and saves you the cost of a rental car (or taxi/Uber/Lyft) & hotel parking.
No savings to fly into SEA and it costs a fortune to fly into BLI (usually with stops at YVR &/or SEA on the way)
Considered trying to get to YVR for the game, but life is just too busy right now unfortunately. So watching on the couch.
My situation is super weird. Normally host or attend a house party that includes the usual appies and drinkies, and that will be the case for my family and friend group but unfortunately not I.
I'm actually leaving Sunday morning for a work trip, ironically to Toronto. So my plan is to wear my Bomber jersey along with business casual attire on the plane, grab an uber and check into my hotel, and then find a good sports bar to watch the game (alone, like a pathetic loser).
On that note, plenty of Manitoba ex-pats in da T-dot so I'm hoping to run into some friendlies who will cheer along with me. If anyone lives downtown, I'm down for a meet-up with fellow Bomber fans.
Also, any recommendations on the best place to watch? I'll be right on the harbour. In 2013 I was in the area and went to an awesome bar (I think it was called Real Sports or something like that) and it was big and awesome - right by the arena, and the Leafs and Bruins were playing in the playoffs right at the time I was there. Maybe I'll try that again since it's a 5 min walk.
Open to suggestions to make my viewing fun and less lonely lol. However, I could watch on my phone in a back alley all alone and all that matters to me is we win. Sunday is bigger than I am.
I have a bottle of champagne (OK, bottom shelf sparkling wine) in the laundry room fridge that was supposed to be popped in November 2022...and then again in November 2023. That's all I'll say about that.

Do I still get to pop it on Sunday?
Packing the bags tonight...flying to Van tomorrow...will be at the game. 10th Cup in row and 20 of the last 30.
Go Bombers!
In Vancouver now. Half the festival is directly beneath my hotel room, 15 stories down. I can see the mock field, the cornhole, zipline, and where I'm guessing the panel might be all day Sat? Hopefully subsides at 9 or 10 or 11 on weekdays? Kids won't get much sleep otherwise!
Saw Wade in the hotel lounge. Lots of people saying hi. I didn't want to bug him more, dude couldn't get his drinks going!
This city is buzzing! Way more buzz than HAM, even though temps are about the same, ironically. Raining buckets constantly here. In the last 24 hrs only let up for maybe 2 hours total. That's Vancouver for you.
Dealing with my hotel parking is interesting: half the streets around the hotel are blocked off or half blocked off; metal fences everywhere to limit pedestrian traffic.
So far so good!! Heading down to festival in a few mins.
And scored my GC tix. Good tix! Wife was gonna kill me if I waited until the last day. So risk-averse! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Deals are starting to appear in aftermarket for those who waited. I got good prices on stubhub.

TV's aren't the best as I recall but you might want to consider Danny Greaves' bar "Motel" on Queen Street. Danny was the singer for The Watchmen and his homey little bar attracts Winnipeggers to watch Jets games - might be worth giving them a call to make sure they're open.
For additional entertainment besides the game, check out Club Zanzibar! 🤪🤣 Still there in hog town downtown and was quite the gymnastics theatrics 3 decades ago! 😉😝

Thanks Tiger!
And now I've seen and had brief words with Davis Sanchez! I guess I found the mother lode of CFL notables!
My son was duly impressed, as he likes watching the panel. But he likes Milt better :D :D :D :D
Smart kid!
