Just like bringing back Jones, the Elks continue to pursue future success by looking backwards at solutions that sort of worked in the past. Right in step with the Alberta mindset.
Edmonton Elks request permission to interview Ticats' GM Ed Hervey for general manager job.

Hasn't Hervey screwed up every team he's moved to in the last 7 years?
HAM: sucked 2022-2024
BC: not too great 2017-2020, includes horrifically bad Claybrooks debacle
EDM gets that great-sounding new Prez and this is the best they can come up with for GM? Does the fan base even want him back?
Move forward, not back.
And why would HAM give permission? They don't have to for a lateral move... unless they want to shed the guy without coach cap repercussions...
He was team mates with Chris Morris, the new president.
Edmonton loves the old boys club.
Ed Hervey? What the heck has he ever done other than field loser squads. The Elks cannot get out of there own way.
Man, why oh why would they want Hervey back, hasn't he messed up every team he's been with. He's done a terrific job of tanking Hamilton, just like he did in bc, this makes no sense at all, but I guess that's par for the course for Edmonton
Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results!
Ever since they became the ELKS they have been as bad and sad as the Glieberman era in Ottawa or the cardboard salesman owner era in Calgary in the early 2000's. AMATEURS! Or even the Joe Mack/Jeff Reinbold farce era in the Peg! :D Lots of slick talk and salesmanship, but no substance.
Hervey is the loser who started the mess in Edmonton. Maybe they take the guy who. Did. His recruiting names in toilet rolls.
Lalji reported in the pre-game show for ESF that Goveia and Rigmaiden may also be in the running for GM in EDM.
Would suck to lose Goveia. It already sucked majorly losing Rigmaiden a while back.
So... Go Hervey! Go Hervey! A weak EDM might suck for the league, but it's good news for WFC if they remain/return to being an "easy out".
