Title: Collin Kornelson
Post by: Pigskin on September 23, 2024, 04:44:49 AM
Winnipeg Blue Bombers draft pick Collin Kornelson 6'2"/285 and our Manitoba Bison's are 4-0.

CK99: Is having a pretty good year. 11DTs, 8 ASTs, 2 Sacks.

That's cool. Didn't realize he was back in school.

Looks like AK Gassama also return to school. 14/176 yards, 1 TD, 34 longest.

Never heard anything about this after he got cut from TC, didn't think he was still in the Bombers plans.....same with Gassama.

Not sure that's correct. We did know they were going back to school. Whether they get a chance to earn a spot in TC 2025 is a TBD but I wouldn't be surprised.

The reality is that when you draft 8 or 9 players, you won't have spots for all of them. It's expected to see a couple return to school. Ditto with the next draft. A few are always in limbo going back for one more year.

Maybe, isn't this the second Bomber TC Kornelson has attended? Wasn't he the DT they wanted to switch to OG?

I think that was another DL. Adamson? It would be unusual to attend 2 TC's and still go back to school.

Collin Kornelson was drafted in the 5th round of the 2023 draft (44th overall). So yes - two camps but he's a local kid who had school eligibility left. I'm sure he'll probably get one more look in 2025.

Maya Turner is a nice story.

6/7 FGs, 11/11 Pats this season.

Maple Grove Minn. girl kicking well for the Bison.

Canadian defensive back Bret MacDougall has also attended 2 TC's and gone back to school for another year with the Windsor Lancers. He's still young and has good size, so I expect him back for a 3rd TC.

Ok, good to know. We might have some players that won't be returning at those positions in 2025. Either way, competition is good to have.
