Canada is in Group A, with the host country Sweden. Also in Group A is Finland, Germany, and Latvia. Canada's first game is December 26th, against Finland.
And Rutger McGroarty is the US Captain. I didn't even think he was gonna play again this year after his injury.

USA 6 - Canada 5 in OT. Canada didn't play very well for the first 30 minutes. But, wow what a third period. Canada hits the goal post in OT. Before the USA capitalizes on a Canada turnover. Both teams look very good. USA looks to have a little more fire power at this point. Canada still figuring out there lines.
Canada/Finland Dec 26 7:30 am.
Canada with one returning player from last year.
Winnipeg Jets prospects: McGroarty, (USA). Salmonsson, (Sweden). Wagner, (Sweden).
Solid win by Canada. Down side, Canada took to many penalties.
I had no idea the game was so early.
Can someone share when the next one is , lol?

:)
Looks like Jets prospect Salmonsson mite miss Sweden's next game for a 5 minute boarding penalty.
Canada 10 - Lat 0, this one is nearly over.
CZE and USA 3-3 in the third. Canada/Sweden at 12:30.
USA 4-3 in SO.
Double header, Canada up 2-0 in the Spengler Cup. Canada/Sweden 0/0.
Can't make a mistake against Sweden. 2-0.
Good game. Canada has a good PK, but there PP looks like the Jets.
Sweden 0 goal against in 3 games... yikes.
Though disappointed, found the loss to still be entertaining. Expect our young lads will mature more as a team

Ya but they played Latvia and Germany in 2 of those games and we didn?t pose any type of threat against them. No doubt they will be tough to beat at home though....
Canada mite be in some trouble. Geekie could miss Canada's next game. Savoie could be out with an injury.
Oi vey.
Not to mention our goaltending/defence seems shaky at best.
Once this team lost two very good d-men just before the tournament started, I was worried about our D. Didn't see a Gold medal this year with only one returning player, and the USA and Sweden loading up with returning players and NHL 1st. round picks. CZE, will be a very tough game for our boys.

Canada/CZE, Tuesday 7:30 am.
Savoie, skated today and looked good.
Geekie, will not be suspended for the CZE game.
Bit of a lousy way to lose a pretty hard-fought game after being down 2-0.
First time Czechia has ever beaten Canada in the medal round.
Macklin Celebrini is a good hockey player.
Yes, a crappy ending. Bad 1st. period, out played the CZE the rest of the game.
Welp, so much for this year. Not even a medal.
Horribly unlucky bounce with 11 seconds left!! >:(
Sweden advances to the gold medal game.
Finland, played a great game. But, the USA was just to much for them.
Should be a good gold medal game between Sweden and Murica. Two very strong teams.
USA wins the gold. Just to fast and skilled for Sweden.
Got a little ugly at the end. No need for that crap.
Quite the greasy ending there. Yikes.
Swedes and choking in the medal round... Name a more consistent duo.
I'm excited to see McGroarty in a Jets jersey.
Really happy for McGroarty and the best team won the Gold
