Bombers will have to play much better to beat Montreal. Far to many mistakes. To many turnover, and stupid penalties. I really hope ZC8 will be ready for this one. Would be nice to get Smith back also.

I've had a theory for several years now: Mafia looks at their last loss that ended their season and they plan specifically (in the off-season) (scheme and personnel) to beat that team -- to win the last game.  (And to beat their toughest divisional rival, though that's usually the same team!)

And that team is MTL.  If my theory is correct, we may have some surprises planned for next week.  It's not a done deal.

That would be a really stupid plan. Did we plan for 4 turnovers and needing Grant to fumble?

I feel like if Zach is 90% or more we need to start him, short leash and get brown in there if needed. Dru got it done, in a critical fashion when needed, But he also stunk it up all game, over throwing multiple wide open receivers for TD's. Nield with that drop, ugh. Everyone needs to do better.

Early odds are -10.5 MTL, wow.

I said planning for your last season-killer, not every team like TOR.  The idea is you'll be good enough the following year to at least get to the same opponent you did last time.

And it's not an unsound theory because you'll often come up against the season-killer next year because CFL teams usually build up and progress year to year (or fall just 1 notch).  CFL sees very few "jumps" in bad to good (or vice versa) in a 1 year time span.  ('26 EDM is the outlier here, but you could see it building later last season.)

For example, we used to work hard on building a CGY-beater team.  Then CGY fell off and we lost tons of cups to TOR/MTL.  And I think we started gearing more to beating those guys.

Not saying it was a success!  But maybe it'll work out this season...

That's basically the same as the '24 GC vs TOR!  That smells like trap game to me, just like in '24.  All it takes is one tweak to the hammy...

And they are SOOOO cocky that no one will ever beat Alexander at home.

Remember, they have all the pressure.  We have none.  We aren't even supposed to be in the EDF!  It's all house money!

Hatcher did the same thing in their game.  LOL.  Makes me wonder if Hatcher's family is betting the under on his yards total line.  Not sure anyone saw Cottoy being the hero for this game!  Maybe they double-covered Hatcher all day.  He's their biggest threat, and would explain Cottoy being more open.

Brown: 18/30  206, 2 TD, 2 Int. 6.9 Avg. 42 Longest.
Kelly:    18/30  193, 1 TD, 0 Int. 6.4 Avg. 42 Longest.

Brown had a tough day with the long ball. A few dropped balls, and receiver falls down on one Int.

Brady: 20/95  4.8 Avg.

Castillo is becoming a concern. Has been great lately.

Alexander is a better QB then Kelly, D will have to be lights out good.

Last year it was 25-6 at the half. Hopefully they can use that as motivation, it will take a total team effort.

Further proof of my theory is the fact we were one of maybe 2 or 3 teams to legit beat Montreal this season. Garbage season notwithstanding.

Now how on earth did we do that given that we were hot crap at the time and there was no way we were supposed to win? Dumb luck? Or did mafia look at our last 2025 loss and say: next year we're gonna beat those guys.

We've done this for years. Literally. Like since 2016 we've had this mindset. I think that's integral to how we steadily got better.

Just my 2c theory. I like our chances at an upset. It's Edmonton I'd be more worried about...
