Quote from: Tecno on Today at 04:54:05 AMZach should be ashamed of himself.  He believed his week 19 hype and thought he was God.

Throwing 2 balls directly to LBers, like it's the '22 GC vs TOR... when is he ever going to learn?  When we go for all the mid-zone passes the other teams take a couple of gambles and clog up the holes for the easy INT.  (Why can't our LBers ever do this??)

Zach directly lost us this game.  Ya sure, we likely lose anyhow as EDM can turn the gas on at any time (they didn't have to this game), but at least we have a better shot.

Having zero run game ruins the balance and makes it way too easy for opponents to do these drop-backs.  You can see EDM's entire strategic game plan play out in real time, and we all know it and see it, and yet there's nothing Mafia can do about it?  They lay all of these traps and we play right into it, every time.

I really hate getting out-brained by these traditionally bad teams.

Zach is old and broken and doing his best behind an offensive line that's getting worse by the game.

It's really hard to play quarterback on a team that can't pass protect, whose running back is slow and basically only run in a straight line and whose team takes as many penalties and makes as many mistakes as we did. Elsewhere, special teams was horrible outside of Vaval. Defense was its usual dumpster fire of excuses and flaws.

It's a winnable game but Zach can't elevate enough to overcome all of that at this stage. Brown wouldn't have won either. There aren't many QBs who could have pulled that game into the W column being honest.

It's unlikely BC will let Rourke go two complete games without playing although stranger things have happened.  If they did it would be four weeks between games.  Best hope he plays at least a half or so tomorrow, along with all the starters, and the following week they rest nearly all their starters versus the Bombers.

But why can't Zach & Condell see or anticipate the LB drop-back and throw to the go route instead?  Or scheme a guy open on the other side of the zone?  You know... like Mack did to basically win the game with the TD to close the first half?

When we drop all the LBers back EDM just dumps to Rankin or has Cody run to the sideline for 15Y.  Why aren't we doing this?  If everything is wide open, even Zach can run to the sideline, and slide if it falls apart.  Why isn't Brady chipping and getting out for a dump?

It's like nobody is thinking, and when plan A fails there's nothing left.

This group for the MOST part And most certainly the coordinators are TOAST.
Season ticket holder since year 1 of the Reinbold era.

Is this the most aggravating loss of the season?  Or does that BC loss with 974 yards running against still take the cake?

Willie was just on CJOB and brought up the 2nd half of the games and how he isn't happy with it.  He also talked about how they need to stop everyone on 2nd downs and went on to talk about the coverage.

I hope he voices it to ppl who need to know.

Also on CJOB, they said they 100% are sure changes are coming to the staff in the offseason.  Hmm make your bets on what those are.

I'm going to bet Walters is leaving.  Maybe Coordinators.

I do not have a clue but I am putting it out there in the universe to happen.

Zach couldn't see anything, he had a rusher right in his face and he threw up a butterfly, Brady was open off to his right and he ignored the easy throw.

Not enough beef on the D-line or the LB's when they're trying to stop the run, why play lightweight Reese in that situation or Willy for that matter, they need a fatboy or two to clog up the gaps. Saw a bit of Jenkins on that last drive but he seemed to be replacing Fletcher.

Using Lawson on the short kick off was dumb, looks like he did serious damage to his knee on a for nothing play.

Also neither of the Bomber LB's are in position or built for stopping the run, they depend way too often on the smaller DB's to do the majority of the tackling. I'd be surprised if they don't lose Holm for the next game as it looked like he got seriously beat up.

I see Kramdi as a sometimes player more every game, he just doesn't contribute enough physically to be an every down player and it looks like he is allergic to the weight room. Santos Knox was once a skinny WIL, but he put in the work to bulk up over his career as did Mo Leggett.

Beef has nothing to do with it.  Didn't you notice that Rankin would ALWAYS bust out to the edge?  We show 4, bring 4, and Rankin just presses the line until the last guy on the line can seal our edge, then boom: off to the races.  And we never have a LB in the flat so it's the DBs who have to break off and make a tackle, but by then Rankin has 12.

It's so tiring.

Why not show run blitz EVERY DOWN in the 4th, and then 30% of the time bring the blitz and 70% drop back into normal formations?  The LBers are bloody useless anyhow so just have them all at the line.  DBs can go man.

I saw one run-blitz like play in that whole 4th Q.  And it worked.  But nah, let's just let EDM run the same stupid Rankin run on us every snap.

He could see before the pass rusher was in his face.  He has the pre-snap look.  He has that first-move moment after the snap.  And he probably has time to read where the LB is headed.

There is no reason to not know when LBers are dropping back, and to anticipate it based on EDM's history and moment in the game.  Everyone knew they were either blitzing or dropping back every snap because we weren't running.  Why would a LB sit in the flat and protect against nothing?

Well, they an pontificate all they want.  If they don't have inside scoops, it's just conjecture.

KW is not going anywhere because he's on a 3-year (2 left).  Plus, how much of botched personnel choices are due to MOS, not just KW?

I could see finally ditching Younger.  I gave him more rope than anyone.  But playing EDM 3 times and having no answer for Rankin in the 4th in the 3rd game is inexcusable.

You know what I just realized?  BC is gonna run that book against us next week.  We won't stop Horvath and that loser QB and they'll put up 1231 ground yards on us.  It'll double the CFL all-time ground yards record for sure.  And you know what, Younger won't have an answer for that either.  And that has a good chance of knocking us out of the playoffs.

Nope, come heck or high water WFC plays their "normal" scheme and Can. Never. Change.
