Where are all the Bomber fans?

Riderfan's last GDT: 1200 posts, 26k views.
Our last GDT: 182 posts, 3.4k views.
For fairness, add in MBB's GDT: 441 posts.

That still puts Bomber forum traffic at half Rider traffic?  What's up with that?  They get much more engagement across the board.  Why are 'peggers reluctant to air their beef online?  Are the stubblejumpers more tech-savvy?

I just don't get it.

I will note that the average Riderfans post is 1 sentence, as opposed to the detailed analyses we get here, so it might even out to around the same word count overall.  But, on the other hand, they have like 10X the number of posting members.  Weird.

Have you read their posts? Lots of them are 1 or 2 word posts and by the same general people. At least that's what I remember.

Message boards are a relic at this point. Most people don't know these exist.

I would agree with this, younger generations don't use these.

As far as the post counts go for this past week's games, we played at home (presumably with a number of regular posters in attendance) while the Riders were on the road (with their fans sitting at home watching on TV with their "computery-boxes" nearby).

I can't speak for younger people but I come here for accurate information and informed opinions on my team. The moderators do a good job of keeping things on track. If you had to pick one source to read/post this would be the place.

Except for some reason they do in green town! There's probably 100 active posters there, and I'm sure not all of them are 65. And by active I mean posts to every gdt.

Can you imagine if wfc pushed this site on the jumbotron in game day with a qr code? Or even had Tait mention it in the next keys to the game?

And the league wants more fan engagement, especially of the modern internet variety. Nothing cheaper or easier than pointing them to the forums!

That's a good point. I'll rerun the numbers tomorrow to compare away to away. I know it'll still be lopsided though, as their forum gdts are always 50 pages, and sometimes much higher.

They also tend to double that when they lose. Lol

And I'm not cherry picking with gdts, they get a hundred posts on most threads.

I'll go one more on this. Their game day threads are more active than ours for our games even.

I wouldn't call using code from 1997 "tech-savvy". I support this forum, but message boards in general are total boomer.

Gameday threads are full of the worst reactions and it's the only thread some gloomers comment on because all they can do is point out the bad and spit venom, they remind me of angry Albertans.  :D

Sir Blue and Gold

they have one forum and the Bombers community is largely split in two.

I'm not advocating one way or the other on this next point, merely pointing out a difference, but you'd get more posts if you allowed for a higher degree of freedom of communication like they do. The downside is that there's less substance there and more meaningless exchanges overall as there's a bigger degree of self policing. Not everyone here would like that. We do probably win on number of polls started, however.
