Clubs' Most Outstanding Players headline team awards

As part of a revamped awards process, every player who received a vote in a category has advanced to the final ballot for that CFL Award, which will be voted on by the same 36 local members of the FRC who determined team award winners, as well as 20 national members of the FRC, for a total of 56 votes. In place of the two traditional division award winners, three finalists for each category – regardless of division – will be named. The list of eligible players for each CFL Award can be downloaded below.

2026 CFL AWARDS: ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
The three finalists for Most Outstanding Canadian, Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman and Most Outstanding Rookie will be named on October 27.

The George Reed Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Special Teams Player finalists will be announced on October 28.

In lieu of a traditional awards ceremony, the league will introduce a fresh new approach to recognizing the winners of CFL Awards. Recipients will be honoured through special surprise presentations as the season draws to a close and during the postseason, creating more personal and intimate moments to celebrate players' outstanding seasons. The moments will be shared online, offering fans a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the people and stories behind the statistics and accomplishments. In an effort to increase transparency, the complete ballots for each of the 56 voters will be disclosed.

Wow, no wonder our season was under water. That's the cream of the crop for our team? Now compare with other teams...

Broxton had only a passable year as he learns a new position. Brady was whiffing on blocks, getting stuffed a lot, and fumbling this season. Vaval didn't have any magical return like last year - his one the other week was pretty darn easy because of the good blocking -- not Vaval's fault as he's too tired from playing D too.

I might have given Canadian to Smith.

Major & Holm are the only ones that have any shot at beating any of the other team finalists.

Vaval's the only one with a chance.

Philpot? I hate to think you're right but Philpot gets my vote.

Wow. 6 teams with a quarterback at MOP. What a coincidence.

Did we give Broxton MOOL just to stroke his ego and make it easier to retain him on a losing team? No point rewarding outgoing Stan. But in my grading Neuf was better.

Now go out in FA and hire 4 of the MOOLs listed on this page...
