No it's the cfl rule too. Screen pass across the line of scrimmage,O linemen cannot be blocking downfield before the pass is caught. If the pass is behind the line of scrimmage they can block downfield. It's a black and white rule and Montreal s O line has been illegally blocking down field on a forward pass across the line of scrimmage. Is this not a challengeable play??

Because of their Zach nonsense we lost a winnable TOR game and now this game. And that's the season. Worst since '14. CGY will easily get that last spot because they are now on a hot tear.

I would argue the mistake was not having any viable plan for when (not if) Collaros goes down, and now really nothing beyond this year either.

Can't put him in to risk his health. But this goes way back before he was hurt in that game. We just haven't had any protection for him, and now no plan beyond him.

I love Zach, but look what the young, mobile, cannon-arm QBs can do. Even with the same mediocre RECs like Sterns who we had last year, and middling nobodies like Rambo.

And notice how MTL doesn't use any NAT RECs except for superstar Philpot. Every single catch (except that TE TD earlier) is to an IMP.

And Alexander was running there and our 2 guys have every opportunity to hit him and they just stand around not wanting to hit him. Like I said, you need to punish that hammy, and you have the chance -- you do it, and it's completely legal!!

Can't trust the protection. We called deeper routes on first down and couldn't protect. We aren't going to be able to hold up on second and 15.

That's what I said. OL follows the same rules as everyone else on O. No one can block before the pass past the LOS. Of course, we all know that.

The other post was about OL specifically not being able to even cross the LOS. That's an NFL thing.

Agreed that Zach would've given us a much better chance than Dru today. Arguably nothing would've won this one though with how are D is playing.

And the days of playing through a concussion (or head/neck injury) are long over.
