Anybody at practice today to see who is practising? Obviously we know several veterans will have a reduced schedule but the question is about those that have been on the IR.

Day 1 of Bombers practice ahead of Montreal:

Pokey Wilson is back to practice after two games out. That'll mean he comes off 6-game injured list.

Dru Brown is QB1.

LT Stanley Bryant is not practicing, as has been the case on day 1s.

No Brady Oliveira (street clothes), and no Gabe Wallace (don't see him) for practice today.

Micah Vanterpool at LG in the early stages.

No Jake Ceresna after his injury halfway through the game with the Argos.

And it looks like DE Nuer Gatkuoth has the day off.

LB Dylan Hazen is dressed and in warmups. He's been on 6-game with a groin injury.

Trey Vaval at corner with the 1s in the first 12 on 12 segment. Ridge Texada started there vs the Argos.

DB Michael Griffin is done his 6 games on the injured list. He was back practicing last week. Looks like a good bet to return to the lineup this week.

I don't think I've seen DE Matt Jaworski today. He's been on the roster the last two games.

Lot's of potential fluctuation, have to keep an eye on the transaction list to see if they're making any major or minor adjustments. Need to see today's injury list first.

Kelly isn't great but he is currently getting a lot of reps and if you eliminated him, we would likely suffer as the alternatives are likely no better. Not a huge fan but a necessary evil at the moment imo. Has had his ups and downs this year big time. Perhaps the experience could help shape him into a reasonable rotational player.

If Griffin returns this week then Kelly would see less reps. He is getting better but we're sitting on a razor blade at the moment and need the best combination of players on the most downs. I don't see reps taken away from Smith so how they adjust is not quite clear.

I suppose Griffin might get more reps there and Smith might take a few of Kelly's.

I noticed Kyrie is spending a lot more time on the sidelines watching, so I guess they're easing him towards the door. It remains to be seen who they replace him with, when he's on the field he's lined up at MLB but mostly plays shallow pass protection, which Tony Jones doesn't seem to be suited for.

I didn't realize Calvillo hasn't been O coordinator for all that long. This is his fourth year.

Today's IR report has a lot of walking wounded. That said these reports aren't very useful projecting what or why stuff is going on.

The best I can guess is that Ceresna is not very likely to play this week, but that was our initial feeling after the game. He's a DNP.

Nothing mentioned about Collaros.

Oliveria and Demski are either limited or DNP. I wonder how much of the low practice time impacts the games. Both seem to fade in the 2nd half of games if not sooner. Is that due to on going injury or OC " nursing " their activity? Either way this is not good. Demski only had 15 yards in the last game. Three of his least productive games in 2026 happened in the last 6 games.

I would offer that the team might need to give serious consideration whether they should bring him back in 2027. At least at his current SMS. This will be an unpopular opinion but one that has been growing in my mind this year. It starts with the inability to practice so often for so little.

might be an option if we had made better use of our draft picks. When you look at the number of high quality cdn receivers you can't help but wonder how we ended up only with Corcoran and Daniels We certainly don't have anyone on our current roster capable of replicating Demski's production even if he is only at 70%

There are many things that need to change. We need to get younger, faster and spend SMS more wisely. It's possible we don't bring back Cobb, Corcoran or Nield so all thoughts must be considered.

Technically we don't need to start 3 Canadian receivers ( this year ) so ratio aspects must be considered. How that shakes out next year is too early to tell.

It's clear this roster wasn't good enough.
