Crap, he was a standout in TC, I believe he turned down a PR spot.

Why would we add Hansen back? He's not the future and we haven't been using 2 globals on the roster this season.  We also added a global OL

Neither of these additions makes any sense IMO. Is this the best we can do?

I'm not losing any sleep over these Global additions.

There were 2 Global spots available on the practice rosters and the Bombers decided to fill them.

Maybe they wanted extra players for practices.

Maybe they see Hansen helping on teams if there is an injury.

It's a question of is this the best they can do. Bring in another punter or kicker perhaps for a look for next TC as a better example.

Would anyone have guessed we'd look at a global OL? It's not a position we see teams roster or draft with any consistency.

A lot of Global players tend to be American trained or raised but born elsewhere, don't know who this player is but chances are he came through the American system.  So it's another way to sneak an American onto the roster and pretend the game is built for Canadians.

He has to replace an import when he comes on the field as a rotational player. The NFL probably cut 100+ OL a couple of weeks ago.

Like I suggested, is this the best we could do? I also suggested that a punter or kicker getting an early look for TC 2027 wouldn't be a bad idea. Most global players in the CFL fill those roles.

As for Hansen maybe they're looking for a strong DT in waiting that can backup Ceresna and Lawson and help run stop, as both are quite susceptible to injury.

I'm telling you guys, we'll often bring in a grizzled vet past their best before right at the end of the season and then play them instead of the younger guy we hoped worked out but wasn't ready for the playoffs.

Looks like Hansen is that guy. Maybe they feel gatkouth isn't going to be useful for the playoffs? He's had lots of looks. Maybe we want him to simmer for another season first.

There's also the aspect of Hansen being kind of a crowd favorite.

On the practice roster we Have 5 imports out of 12 which seems kind of strange,,maybe we'll see some additions monday
