Vaccaro would be a nice add come Oct......I have no idea what they would want in return BUT how about Collaros and a pic ;)

Unlikely the Redblacks trade a starting Canadian. Collaros is now an injury prone QB that is a potential free agent in February so he has zero trade value. We've already given them our 1st round pick so our cupboards are bare in that sense.

I do think the Redblacks will be considering trades that will be of value for the 2027 season. What that will look like I have no idea.

You'd have to believe there will be major changes to their roster for next year. Some have already suggested they will sign Kelly in the off season in free agency.

They need a RB so the Elks could be a player but what would they get back in return potentially?

No way the RB trade Vaccaro.  Yes, I bet he'd love to come home, and might be a FA target (Popp will sign him before FA hits), but he was the big get in the draft, and has been good.  And Kelly NEEDS protection.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Tecno

Vacarro has not been that good. He reminds me a bit of gray when he first started.

Starting him first year may be a mistake. But then again, maybe they had zero options.

I guess the hope is he develops quickly. The general consensus is the ceiling is high. He might be quality by the time he comes up for FA. We should have our players and coaches chat with him every OTT onfield postgame to try to sell a future in Wpg.
Never go full Johnston!

Vaccaro may just wait till he hits free agency in 2029 to come home.

The Cats are, seemingly, going no where this season
Along with the awful Redblacks, might there be a chance that Walters is banging at the doors for a Bomber addition

They would be an obvious team that could be looking to make a trade. They do have some players we'd probably like but what do we have to give up that is a win win for both teams?

Ottawa may want to shed some higher SMS even though that involves talented players. Not every player will fit the go forward plan in 2027.

It's worth a phone call to both those teams to see if something is possible.

That said, I can't come up with something that specifically is a trade that works. Contract length and SMS in both directions comes into play. CFL has so many 1 year contracts so what's left besides a short term rental?

There will be only 4 games left after this weekend for most teams. Getting and incorporating a new player even a short term rental is a long shot.

Ottawa made 7 changes to their starters for today. In some cases that was due to injury. Their IR list is so long it's tough to know who might be returning shortly and / or released shortly. Everyone on the roster will be playing to win a role next year.

At this point I'd take back Wheatfall depending on the status of O.Wilson.

Ott adds Jake Plummer to their neg list?

Trade Dru, bench Maier, and now add Plummer to the neg list?  Maybe Kelly isn't a sure things.

Kelly has suspended contract extension talks with TO recently....I would bet he's already in talks with Ottawa on the qt ...overseen by Dinwoodie  ;) As far as us making any deals ....not likely UNLESS Ham is interested in letting Kenny go....a big  :-\ on that one

Even as a short term rental I'm not sure Lawler would be a good fit. Talented yes but he's a me 1st player IMO and we don't need that.

I suppose all players are mercenaries but he's come and left twice now.

Myron Mitchell too, both had the athletic talent and worked hard, Bombers chose to go shopping instead of investing in the athletes they had in stock.  They failed to learn from the earlier Stamps teams in the Huff era who developed great new receivers year after year only to lose them to free agency.

Chad Kelly would make Ottawa contenders.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

More problems in Ottawa besides just the QB. He'd certainly help but he'd be an expensive SMS add. Rosters can be adjusted in the off season and free agency potentially but it's still an issue.
