He too was playing injured since early in the season and groin injuries are a bugger to heal.
I would keep Texada dressed for the game against Toronto even if Moxie is good to go. The Argos barely run the ball so having an extra DB dressed is crucial if one of them went down during the game.

Vaval is an excellent backup and Kelly can also fill in at multiple positions as he's only on the field in certain situations.

Kelly played more last game than I thought he would and didn't appear out of place

The number of times he was helmet to helmet with Kramdi presnap was very noticable.  He seems a LOT more comfortable with Kramdi running the D backs.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

The thing is that Harris offence is a shorter passing game. How he does against Kelly, Alexander or Rourke is a different matter. Getting Kramdi back may reduce those previous issues.

Some people still think Kramdi and Kelly play the same position, they don't. Kelly plays deep Safety, Kramdi plays shallow rover as he's better in the box and he doesn't have the speed to cover deep receivers, Smith has become the transition between the two.

Anyone discounting Kelly's athletic ability should watch him on ST as he's always one of the first players downfield to make the tackle, he's got long legs and can really fly.

Tecno

No one doubts Kelly's athleticism. It's what's going on upstairs, and his tackling, that are suspect.

Hopefully the screw ups are correctable and it's just an experience thing.
Never go full Johnston!

Without Kramdi, those are exposed.

With Kramdi, he looks like an all star.

So, Kramdi nets you 2 players in one.

Lol.

Lol.

With respect, those two played a ton earlier in the season and more or less got shredded week in and week out. The defense has hopefully turned a corner but they looked better against Montreal too and Kramdi wasn't there.

It's easy to look at the game and say Kramdi in Kramdi good but I would resist the temptation. It's never that simple.

Our secondary has improved as the season has progressed. Williams is learning on the job. Kelly as well. Nichols may have recovered more from a previous injury limiting his play.

Smith at SAM is a recent change due to the injury to Griffin and he's been all over the field.

Every week will be a new test to see if we can prevent the blown coverage issues etc. The Argos don't have a good running game but their QB will throw a lot of passes.

Has our defense improved or is it that the Riders are down a couple of top receivers?
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

Well both but they did play better against the Als as well. Change at CB with the Moxey injury and then Kramdi back have helped. Smith at Sam is improving now that he is a starter.

I think Moxey and Nichols were both nursing injuries and that caused some of the issues.
