Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on Today at 12:27:36 AMFrom his anger on the sideline I suspect the Bombers training staff told Zach to hit the shower.

Precaution is advisable whether he likes it or not. That said, how many times last year and this year has he not been able to finish a game.

One game at a time

Pete

just a couple of comments on this game
Zac needs to retire, if hes knocked out of the game on that hit hes just too fragile especially with this oline

Wallace is not a starting guard, he cant move side to side, and putting him beside Bryant is tough to watch. Even on run blocking he cant move quick enough to hit anybody

If Zac cant play Condell cant handcuff Brown, we are looking like big losers in the trade to get him here.

Kramdl is my new favorite bomber, man he makes a difference

Whats happened to Ceresna? he was invisible most of the game

Riders wins the award for most crying to the official after any missed play

Lincoln Locomotive

Not sure exactly how Zach was injured but he sure is fragile these days....he should retire at the end of the season and look at a coaching career.....perhaps the Bombers next OC?

I think Zach should hang it up too, soon

But as long as he wants to play and someone is offering him hundreds of thousands of dollars,   hes gonna take it, i'd take it, you'd take it

well there's his long term health to consider and Zach would be better off in the long run looking after himself....for his and his families sake!!

After watching Bonfire Sports.....there was one interesting stat that DB brought to light.....the Bombers held the Riders to only 4 of 20 second down attempts!!  That's like 18%!!

Not taking anything away from the win. But mini rant:

I really dont get why they're kid-gloving Brown. Yeah he had a couple rough games earlier this season. But he's also thrown for nearly 500 yards in a game, has multiple 4 td games, a 5 td game in his career as a starter...

some risk? Sure. But he can sling it.

They don't need to go down field every play but at least have the same playbook as Collaros... everytime Dru's on the field we throw 3 yard passes or run and defenses clamp down on it.

I get we were up in the 4th, but we should still be playing to put up points.

We do limit Dru a bit.  But today I'm pretty sure we'd have given Zach the same instructions because our D was killing it.  It was clear MOS was going full turtle most of the 2nd H because clearly SSK couldn't move the ball.

I didn't like it at the time, as we've lost a few this season going over-conservative, but in this instance MOS was right.  The question is, if SSK started scoring, would we have been able to flip the switch and turn our O on again??

Pretty sure Dru knows most of the book by now.

Again, credit where credit is due - well played game on defense, decent game in offense.  Was nice to see some aggression in the playing.

Kramdi was a beast.  Texada and Williams as well.

Demski had moments of shine.  White showed some flashes.  Nield didn't stink the joint up.  Singer was alright if under used.

Oliveira had a really good night.

Special teams tackling was good to great.  Castillo was reliable.

O line was awful.

Kelly also deserves credit, plays well in combo with Kramdi and layed some hard hits on receivers.

You said it.  Kelly has looked great most of the year at that "2nd safety" passing-down spot.  It's the starting job he can't handle (yet?).  But he did ok considering he was never meant to start at FS.  Like what other option did we have?  As Younger said in a recent presser: we're dealing with a lot when down Allen AND Kramdi.

Kramdi + Kelly handling the back or middle of the zone could be a deadly combination.

I'm pretty sure giving the "Ultracuts style of the game" to a SSK fan is completely forbidden.  Who on earth decided that one?  Like Mosaic would ever give any "X of the game" prize to a visiting WPG fan!!

Total fail.
