Blue In BC

None of our DL had more than 1 DT. That's a problem as well.

Not sure about that he was banged up a couple plays ago when the rider yanked him down.  Looked like he landed on the same arm/shoulder on the concrete

how the hell is there concrete that close to the end zone. Stupid.

Pigskin

Far to many mistakes, and terrible tackling. The Lawson penalty was indiscipline. Texada is heading to HSC burn unit. Woodbey is another guy that can't tackle. Singer looked good for his first game, and Ayers with 5 DTs. BO20 with 12/13 touches all night.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

bomb squad

This defence just gives up too much uncontested yardage at critical times. Not enough sustained pressure. It doesn't feel right and doesn't look right.

Pete

Even after we tied the game I had no doubt we would lose.
Our defense cant get a stop when it comes to the clutch.
Our offense is easy to stop , simply clog up the short game on first and then blitz on 2nd down, this oline will collapse and our offensive coordinator can't make in game adjustments to save his life.
The execution at this stage of the season is awful.
As an aside our use of receivers also sucks, Clercius could be a decent receiver if we gave him a chance, when we put Cobb out there its like were playing a man short.

What bugs me about the d scheme is on those free wide outs we'll have 2 guys running out bunched together to make the tackle basically. What good is it to have them together in zone?? If 2 are in the same spot, why don't we just place one wider out to just stop the catch to begin with?

The reason you give a team those wide outs is so later on you can sneak a guy in there to get an INT.

instead we give it to them for free and then mid the tackle afterwards too so they get huge yac.

That is broken.
Never go full Johnston!

But I'm not as bummed out about the performance as many here. Look, we played the gc Champs (woolerton spit) and were neck and neck all game and ended tied, in their barn. That shows gumption.

The fact we lost sucks but isn't as bad as the injury ratio.

Once again we lost because we weren't bold. Just like the gc loss to mtl. 3rd and medium and mtl throws the 18y out on full blitz. Same situation here and we throw a useless LOS crosser that was clearly film studied to death be ssk d.

Even bolder would have been to go for 2 to just seal the game. When the other team has clearly played better on both sides, and you're down 3 or 4 critical starters, just go for the 2 and takes yer chances, because the odds you can win a mini slugfest at the end is near zero.

Plus, we would have caught the crowd off guard. Missed opportunity.

Famous last words, Bombers win by one in regulation without that goof up.

Doubt it.  They probably wouldn't have gone for 2 after their last TD if they had one less point

The Zipp

giving up a safety also showed how much of a joke this oline is.

terrible run blocking

just can't deal with a blitz either

Experiencing pain is not always an injury per se. Lots of our players are playing in pain nursing stuff. Hopefully he'll be able to play this week.

It does show the problem of the roster management and their disregard to injury on offence. We've been lucky that our receivers have been able to play every game until this week.

Feels like Bombers are the only team that just gives opposing Wide Receivers these free easy balls

How we never jump one or make a scheme to bait them to throw it and then jump it I don't understand.

Do we ever play man coverage?
