I believe he was already Schoen the door.

Kidding of course. We could really use him right now.

Not an important issue. Lots of our players can play ST's.

Quote from: Sir Blue and Gold on August 28, 2026, 06:48:51 PMHe's not worse than Cobb and everyone knows it -- he was just born on the south side of an arbitrary line. Yay CFL.

We have zero evidence that Singer is any good. I'd like to see him play. Maybe it creates a spark. I'm on that side.

But he could also just not be very good. Or lazy. Or too dumb to remember the play book.

The only evidence we have is that they've kept him on the PR since final cuts after TC. Cobb sets a low bar.

...They looked at the entire US receiver market for an entire off season and selected someone worse than Cobb? Please. That's as unlikely as Deatrick Nichols breaking up a pass tonight.

Tell that to droppy nield, and never open cobb

The reason Smith is out there even though it changed the ratio is he's the best guy for the job right now. I'm grading him pretty good for a first time starter.

It's not that mafia won't change the ratio, it's just that they won't change the ratio elsewhere when another change gives them that option. So no singer even though smith starts.

Smith is the best player at the moment. That said it's process of elimination. That same could be said for Cobb as a starting receiver. Ditto Kelly at safety. Obviously injuries come into play in who is next man up.

I think Smith will continue to improve but I wouldn't guarantee he holds a starting role for the rest of the season.

Hard to say because of how O'Shea values Canadians whether they are ready or whether we didn't roster alternatives.

Cobb and nield are not the best available player right now. Singer would be better. Nield is hot butt. Cobb is probably better, but gets no targets as the official last read. At least he catches what is thrown to him, when it's catchable.

The best Canadians we have available if we refuse to change to a 3 import receiver plan. Also Demski came off the field before the end of the game and went to the dressing room. He's been having ankle problems for a few weeks and may have tweaked it more?

Demski going down isn't great but it provides a possible opportunity also.

Wilson, White, Singer, Nield and Clercius is a pretty good line up and you can still dress Cobb and Daniels.

Pigskin

Our Canadian receivers went 9/9 and 103 yards. Clercius and Nield 7/7, 86 yards. Nield made a couple of great catches, and made some very big blocks, but the fumble on the goal line will be what people focus on.

Clercius made some nice plays including blocking assignments.

Clercius definitely getting his looks ramped up. I think he's out there more than cobb now. He's versatile and starting to come into his own a bit more.

Ike is basically a ST thing now, but man is he a demon. He's on return and cover, and clearly an important part of the scheme.

Our specialist Nats are shaping up very nicely.
