The cost would be taking reps from our import starters who have done pretty well.  We are always saying more practice is better aren't we?  If we have an injury, touch wood, it would be a better idea.

And Lewis isn't a Schoen-like scramble rules wizard. He's a pokey type home run hitter. Which is the last thing we need more of, with a qb that can't throw more than 50y.

And whose to say he gets along with dru. You'd think that if dru loved Gino he'd already be here. There's a chance there's bad blood instead.

There could be another reason Gino isn't here even if Dru LOVES him, Price.  Gino knows he will get paid, by a team that loses a top WR just before the playoffs, or needs that push over the edge (which may be us).

When is the "have to be on the roster to be eligible for the playoffs" cut off date?  Gino has until then, and if he gets no bites, he can sign a lesser deal that we can afford then.

We already have an upgrade in Singer and he hasn't seen the field. They don't want to change the ratio.

I'm aware of that, however Singer is not Schoen. Schoen had chemistry with Collaros and a proven CFL track record. Singer may be a good receiver in the future or a casualty before TC 2027. IDK.

I guess I am convinced they won't change the ratio here. If they were going to Singer would be in for Cobb by now.

I think we're all convinced of that but what haven't had the option of a returning vet. We still don't have that option with Schoen. He has probably retired and just not made that announcement.

How many reps do you think Singer would get per game when he shares that roster spot with Daniels, Clercius and MCI, there's only 12 slots on offence and that one gets the most rotation. Seems like MCI is not on the field except for ST and 3rd down gambles and in that case he's replacing Nield.

How many do you think he'd get if we lose Wilson or White to in game injury? At worst he's a better depth option. At best he draws coverage from our primary receivers since he's faster. He's probably a better decoy running through the back field option we use with Demski who is also fighting injury.

In 2025 our 3rd leading import receivers behind Wheatfall and Sterns.

1. Schoen played 5 games and was targeted 34 times
2. Wilson played 6 games and was targeted 36 times

In pre season Singer was targeted 10 times and had 5 receptions for about 86 yards in total.

Cobb in 10 games targeted 20 times for 125 yards.
Corcoran in 6 games targeted 5 times for 25 yards

I know that's comparing pre season to regular season games. However there is enough data from 2025 using a 3rd import and pre season to suggest another import would see more targets.

Look at any team using 3 imports and see the comparison of targets.

Singer completed his collegiate career at Utah, starting all 12 games and recording 53 receptions for 702 yards and one touchdown. Prior to Utah, he played at USC, where he totaled 24 receptions for 289 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games (10 starts).

In his breakout season at Arizona in 2022, Singer emerged as one of the Pac-12's top receivers, leading the conference with 1,105 receiving yards on 66 receptions while adding six touchdowns and starting 11 of 12 games.

Playing style: He compensates for average speed with exceptional route-running, strong hands, and body control on contested catches.

It's been discussed why we don't think adding Gino Lewis is a good idea. That said if we did he'd certainly draw more coverage and targets than Cobb as the example.

Singer has not had a  regular season opportunity but Cobb is only averaging 12.5 yards per game. We've had a ratio opportunity with starting Smith at SAM. The alternative might be Womack which has been mentioned a few times.

Some great info and points but I don't see him getting many balls early but would if he had success or the offense was speading the ball around and firing on all cylinders.

He won't get paid anything if he comes on just before the playoffs. There's 8 games left. The salary is going to be minimal.

If Geno was going to get paid, he would have been signed already. Dude's done. Still better than Cobb or Neild, but he's now a JAG (Just Another Guy).

They wouldn't have to change the ratio. They seem to be of the opinion that singer and Womack aren't good enough.

And to be fair, none of us know if they are any good.
