Chief scout and head of player personnel John Murphy was very good at finding American talent.

Some people I talk to think the credit for Toronto's Grey Cup wins should go to Mike Miller, and not Dinwiddie. He was working very closely with both Arbuckle and Kelly as the QBs coach.

If Ottawa thinks that buying a team next year is going to get them further ahead, then they clearly didn't watch what Burke has done over the past few years when mainstream media ooh'd and aah'd at Burke's signings, only to amount to not much.

Good luck Ottawa...you're going to need lots of it.

Uh pinball was an integral part of convincing players to come to Toronto. He'd go give every big player the ol pinball sales pitch.

Except Miller now looks like the most incompetent hc in the league. Totally ineffectual, talking on his 1970s cb radio...

I had the good fortune years ago to go listen to and meet Pinball...he's an unbelievable, sincere ball of positive energy, I could see him being very convincing and good at luring players to Toronto, who doesn't like Pinball!!

Pinball has his head on straight and is genuinely a nice person. In addition to that, he let my wife put on his Grey Cup ring for a photo op at a Grey Cup Athletes in Action breakfast a few years back!

Much of Toronto's success can be attributed to Murphy actually. The guy knows how to unearth talent even though he is a hothead and not GM material.

Pinball's more of a cheerleader/ambassador.
