Quote from: Sway on Today at 04:31:04 AMFeels like Elks just came down to earth at half time and realized what beats the Bombers and just went and did it

Bombers get a little too fancy in 2nd half and get away from Brady

Zach looking frazzled in 2nd half
Bombers couldn't maintain their first.half energy and intensity and faded to black. collaros body language said it all, he looked down and beat the entire second half , just moped out there

Quote from: Jesse on Today at 04:33:23 AMI'm glad we challenged there and we should have won.

No, I said at the time, well before the verdict, that we would lose.  Why did I know but MOS didn't?  We would win more games if MOS had me on hand to tell him when not to challenge.  I study this stuff and clearly understand it better than he does.  I called the other bad early challenge the other week too.

The league doesn't care that your QB is glass and can't take a tap onto his butt.  We might care.  But to no other QB is that "roughing" -- they'd just laugh at it.
Never go full Johnston!

Quote from: tlf on Today at 04:30:48 AMYou always think that. It is tiring. How about that defense? Oline? Yeah, them too.

Defence nearly pitched a shut out in the first half. Only allowed 22 points. This was probably their best game of the season. OL held up really well for 90% of the game.

Zach was overthrowing open guys and cost us points.

Quote from: Blueforlife on Today at 04:28:24 AMMy position stands.  Not a bad Qb.

Except he was bad tonight.  Terrible throws.  Poor decision-making ie. taking the sack to nearly take the Bombers out of field goal range on their last possession.  A not-bad qb recognizes what is happening in that instance and doesn't eat the sack.  Thankfully we have one of the best long-distance field goal kickers in the league that briefly saved Zach from his own incompetence albeit only briefly.

My position stands.

Quote from: towelie on Today at 04:33:49 AMI didn't hate Condells calling as much as some here. Zach just straight missed a lot of throws, and got trigger shy on a few others when he had guys open and took the sack. But they really do need to change some of our predictable patterns.

Younger gameplans are just horrid this year. When we need to stop guys short we're playing way off the line. Were giving them freebies in zone. Rushing 3 at bad times. Edmonton almost let us win this by trying to go longer too often. Were the easiest team in the league to get 8-12 yards on with how soft we play.

How many drops before we drop Nield? Can we please see Singer or Womack?

Texada should get a look at corner IMO. Moxey made one great play but has otherwise been below average all year. Vaval looks like he can make some plays but looks a little out of place on anything that isn't a deep ball.

We spent a lot of money this off-season. And outside of a few spots I legit believe we have enough good players to be a strong team. But we're looking out coached all over the field. How long does management let this rot in this "win now" mode we're in?

Hard no the Texada until we out of playoffs, make some interesting points

Quote from: TrueBlue75 on Today at 04:30:30 AMI like that they went for it but the play call was wrong. Give it to Brady to get the first down (3 yards I think) and then get another set of downs. Just another dumb call by the OC.

Uh, did you see them stuffing Brady for 0-2Y basically every run in the 2nd H?  Ya, there was no way EDM was giving Brady a free 1st down on 3rd & 3 there.  It had to be thrown.  Maybe that's the time you pull out some creative trick you've been working on?  Pull out your 2PAT tricks but apply them to the 5YL?  So many options.

Below average as of late.  At the end of his rope.

You have no content here just stiring the pot.

If below average is not bad then I'd hate to see your definition of bad

You stated a generalized statment about Zach that is false.  He is not a bad QB.  Great start terrible finish today.

Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 04:35:23 AMOh look. Hazen made an ST today. That was better than adding another import receiver?

Kelly made two horrible plays. I wasn't too impressed with K. Wilson either. Weak links beyond bad tackling in general.

Coming out flat in the 2nd half was predictable and giving up a TD to end the half also predictable.

I think I can see the bottom of the 5 gallon garbage can.
K wilson made some nice run stops, O wilson did zip all game

Bad fair below average good great elite

Not a hard concept

Sir Blue and Gold

Collaros is probably the 7th or 8th best starter in the league this year. That is bad by almost all definitions in a 9 team league.

He's done. Was done. Is done. Time to retire.

If anything, you're stirring the pot. We're discussing Zach right now and you're right, he's below average. He's in the bottom tier of starting QBs in the league.

He was great. I have his jersey. He's an all time Blue Bomber. He's just not that guy anymore.

Quote from: Jesse on Today at 04:27:51 AMThought this one was mostly on Zach. He had numerous opportunities and just whiffed on them.

Yes, this one is on Zach.  And Nield and Pokey for screwing up do-able balls.  Notice how Luther (no-name rookie) produced when he was called upon at the end?  Ya, so Nield had to do exactly the same thing a drive earlier and whiffed.  We aren't the type of team that can recover from even one whiff on O.  Every single play has to get some sort of yards.
