I'm going to offer a contrarian view and think Elgersma to the reserve is a bad idea. Collaros is a hit away from missing the season and even if he plays about as good as he did last year it's not nearly good enough to have success this fall.

Brown is probably not the QB of the future and while I think he's probably a bit better than Collaros at this stage when healthy and comfortable he's unlikely win many duals with the premier QBs out there right now.

Elgersma is the only quarterback on the roster with the athleticism, age, and raw potential to be elite at the QB position. Having him dress for games and potentially coming in for whenever Collaros gets hurt again has value and would only help his development.

Don't love it. Especially don't love that it represents the continued choice to keep putting out players who are well past being able to help us while making the younger players watch and be continually flogged by O'Shea's annual rookie humblizer program which does more harm than good.
