Do you ever see Demski sitting and pouting, Pokey Wilson,no, speaking out against what the offense is running, no, they're team guys, they suck it up, and stay positive for their teammates, not Brady, Brady is all about Brady, and I for one am sick of it and his attitude.

Yeah, this isn't new from him.
My wife is amazing!

Back to the defense, first play of second half, VA hits a wide open philipit who then seeks out nichols then moxey then holm, that's half of our secondary missed tackling him plus the safety is no where in sight. This is unforgivable. Our defensive scheme is bad and our players even worse

No way to know but seems unlikely, he's made for life already with his popularity and visibility, he can reap the benefits of his hard work for the rest of his days if that's what he wants to do.

I think he realizes the Bombers are in a very good situation playing in the only sold out stadium in the league and yet they continually lay eggs at home.  He's never had to play on a losing club before as he came in at the Bombers peak and he's seeing hopes of another GC win fade away with each passing season.  He's said many times he's in an extremely fortunate situation playing for his hometown team and I think he just wants to reverse the course of the downfall.

Sorry but I don't think anyone knows exactly why Brady was angry.
This forum has complained about play calling on both sides of the ball. Brady runs for a 45 yard TD and doesn't touch the ball again until 56 secs left in the game? I'd be missed off as well - doesn't make me selfish if me getting the ball might be the best chance of winning. We've all said that we want bully ball to return well that means getting him the ball more.

That's my opinion.

I'm so impressed by Others like me. Thanks for calling that out in such an unprompted way. What a prediction. I can only speak for myself, but I'm amazed.

There was no prediction made just their opinions (myself and a few others) about a young player added late who needs time.  Past limited success doesn't mean it will happen in the future.  Now next time we see Calgary he will be ready.  Interesting to follow his career, hope he has success.

I'll keep challenging folks on here but I'm also willing to eat bird when wrong. It's a fun game.  Don't try to take the joy out of it.

Quote from: Big Daddy on July 26, 2026, 07:16:24 PMStrevy was even more that energy guy that got the whole team going, more so than Harris, and we were still losing with him back pumping up the team.  And being behind the bench - believe me, Strevy brought the energy, more than anyone I've ever seen.

No, it was AH33 1st, Yoshi 2nd, and Strev 3rd.  Those were the heart of the team.  We had 3 in '19 (crazy!) and that's why we steamrolled the GC.  We had 2 in '21, and that's why we were unstoppable all season.  Then they started departing and we have never recovered.

Quote from: Pigskin on July 26, 2026, 07:28:36 PMI would put Willie into that category. Not only on game day, but also at practice. Willie keeps the energy following.

Willie does help, but he's different.  He's a controlled energy.  The other 3 were just nuts, completely on fire.  Heck, throw Bailey & Biggie in there too.  Those guys knew that morale/energy/hunger was 33% of the game.

And with Dru in, we have an extra problem: he's the least energetic/hungry QB out there.  He's like Franklin.  It's like playing on valium.  I never thought I'd see a QB more chill than Zach, but here we are...

I'm glad to hear Condell is an energetic hyper nut-case -- maybe that can rub off on the guys.  The only problem is he's up in the booth during the game so he can't infect the players.

Oh ya... look who has AH33 and Yoshi right now.  And look who won the cup last year and is the favorite for this year...

Quote from: Jesse on July 26, 2026, 01:13:12 AMWe need to go back to drafting OL consistently.

Great idea!  Have fun waiting until FA29!  Because that's the next time we get to draft a top OL.

We haven't taken a top one in like 4-5 seasons (Dobson the last?), and we won't for 3 more.  That's 7-8 seasons with zero top OL draft picks!  That is utterly insane.

The only thing I can think of... is Mafia's playing counterculture.  We may have said we don't want OL, we'll buy IMPs instead, and then take top "weird position" NATs in the 2nd round.  And we can probably make it work as so many teams are fixated on OL in R1, and ignore picks in "weird positions" until R3.

Caught Brady at the end of the CJOB Post Game Show in the Audio Vault and he sounded depressed, it's obvious he doesn't like the direction Condell is taking the offence right now and he isn't wrong. Past evidence shows between Zach and Brady they can get an OC fired if he can't figure out how to make the offence hum. Emptying the backfield should never be done when the Bomber QB's are under pressure all game long.

Also caught Strev working with the CJOB crew on the broadcast, don't know if he was working for free as a guest spot but his knowledge, input and enthusiasm was excellent. No doubt he's going to get a permanent CFL broadcast gig by next season, possibly on TSN.  Can't even watch the half-time show anymore, it's gone from serious discussion to a clown show.

I am caught between 2 seemingly contractory truths:
1. Condell is not an idiot, and has tons of experience as an OC.
2. He is frequently splitting Brady out wide, usually with an empty backfield. Brady is slow and does not represent a threat out there. The cornerback virtally ignores him. Last game it contributed an offside by Brady and not much else.

What gives? It may help the QB to read what the defense is doing (man vs zone), but there must be other ways to do this, like having a receiver in motion across the formation before the snap.

There can be a lot of dimensions to seemingly routine coaching decisions that fans can't always see. It's almost like they're trying to explain something to someone.

Not sure I understand. Do you mean Condell is showing Brady who's boss?

Noticed Holm defending the left half of the field on Williams side against the Stamps a few times, this seems like a new twist in the coverage as in the past he was always defending on the right alongside Moxey.  Possible that he was in man coverage tracking Philpott by switching off with Nichols, but changes like this seem to be adding to the confusion on the field rather than improving the pass coverage.
