Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on July 14, 2026, 05:08:11 PMI always thought Trevor Harris was quite small, turns out he's 6'-3" 211 lbs, a couple inches taller than Collaros but not nearly as thick.

Brown is probably more into yoga and flexibility than weights which might be the better path but he has to avoid taking big shots at all costs, self sacrifice to make a completion leads to destruction and months wasted rehabbing.  Matt Nichols threw the ball away, Kevin Glenn turtled when surrounded, each method was effective at reducing the amount of hits they took.
There's truth to this, but its a fine line. There's a significant number of plays every game that owe their success to the QB extending plays or standing in and firing a pass despite pressure being on top of them. If you give those up, your offense will be less successful, and it could mean the difference between winning and losing. Riders formula of a strong O-line, great protection, and having the QB get rid of the ball quickly seems like the best formula to follow, but you need the people on the O-line, and you need a QB that can deliver the ball very quickly. Easier said than done. Dru was getting rid of the ball quickly last game.

The Riders O is one way of many to skin a cat.  Calling it the best formula is a stretch imo.

A balanced offense that can protect the QB, run the ball well and throw down field is my top recipe.

According to Ed Tait, Dry Brown took first reps today at practice.

Understandable.  It's the perfect situation, with believable arguments both ways.  You can do this and still not have any "QB controversy".  It lets you see what you have against a beatable opponent, which can help with decision making later in the season.

I would assume Zach won't even dress then, and it will be Dru/Elgs/Perkins.  Even if you could dress Zach as #2, it creates an uncomfortable and distracting situation.

Ya, like the Dru dime to Demski(?) when he has guys mega-whacking him from behind.  1/10th a second later and that's a fumble or wild throw.

It's those types of plays that demoralize the opponent.  When you should have had the guy, but not only did he get it away, he got a 10Y 1st down.

Zach does a Sirius ad!  Made me smile a bit, they suckered me into watching an ad (I never watch ads).  But I like it.  Getting Zach more money that's off-SMS is always fine with me!!

But Sirius, lower your prices!  It's too darn high.  (My wife likes it -- so I pay)

Pretty cool that Sirius in the USA plays CFL games for their customers.  I wonder if there's any nielson-style numbers on that.

Thanks... great ad.

Sirius 167 "Canada talks " channel that Zach mentioned carries the home team radio broadcast for every CFL game. Handy if you're in your car, or doing something else at the same time.

Also, a LOT of sports talk

Sirius xm Canada is five and a bit  dollars ca a month for us. There are always sales and deals.

Just tell them you're cancelling, they'll offer a deal right away. My wife says you have to cancel, then they make the offers.

What @markf said. SiriusXm customer service is good for discounts and deals.

I became a subscriber in 2019 (new vehicle purchase) and have maintained the same monthly fee since the free trial expired. I just call the help center and speak with agent who then renews the yearly contract at the same monthly rate. Easy peasy if you don't mind spending 10-15 mins.
