Nah that a huge factor imo, that's your opinion.  Zach is more down to earth than that.  Friendship > stardom.  These are real people.  Real people he has known for years.  Yes rich and stars.  Doesn't make it any less important for him to join.

Collaros and Kelce are lifelong friends and former college roommates. Irrespective of the other details surrounding what's sure to be an opulent, highly publicized, and star-studded wedding, I don't fault Collaros for supporting his friend on such a big day by attending. I'd do the same.

Does anyone know if Kelce attended Collaros' wedding back in 2019?

Is this the bad place?

I am considering how his connection has provided positive press for the CFL and likely would again. A snub would not be cool. I am considering Colloras has a wife that likely wants to go too.

How many times has MOS said that vets don't need to practice? No games would be missed. Neufeld missed a game last week and it hurt. I am wondering if people are thinking of that and don't want anything else along the same lines happening. Nobody died and no one will be born but after that this would be about as big a life event as you can have. He should go and come back happy and ready to shine.

I have no issue with a guy missing a game for the birth of his kids.
Missing because of a wedding, not a good excuse imo.

Who are we to say what a guy does with his life?? If ZC wants to go, go, if he doesn't don't go, simple as that.

As long as he doesn't get paid for missing a game.  Then fine.

His employer.  One way or another fans pay for the salary and existence of the CFL. So did he go? I don't know going would really impact his performance on Sunday. It might send the wrong message to his teammates. though. Hard to say how they would feel though.

I also doubt winning or losing will fall entirely on him, but if he throws up a particular stinker and did to, then that's not good.
One game at a time

Quote from: Blueforlife on July 03, 2026, 04:56:49 PMwhy not? Has nothing to do with the fact they are famous, he would want to go if they were poor and / or not famous.  Maybe even more so to support them.

It has everything to do with being famous. If his friend was a nobody he wouldn't even ask to miss practice to go. He just wouldn't go.

If the poor friend wanted Zach there then the poor friend would be the one picking a better wedding date.

You go to MOS saying you want to attend Taylor swift's wedding, that's one thing. You say you want to attend the wedding of Doug the guy that works at the local beer store, you get the stink eye.

Yes, arguably this is good for the league. However, it's in no way good for our team. It's a distraction, and has been for a few years.

Does it cost us a game? Who knows. but it certainly won't help. If the league gets 100 new teenage female fans out of it, that's great, but they aren't going to compensate us in any manner for it!

So what's the verdict... Did he go? Any leaks from practice today about Zach?

First clue, Bomber practice was closed today with the added note "QB's not available".

If he missed practice he should have been listed on the injury report.

He wasn't listed so either he was at practice or the Bombers failed to mention it.

Maybe Zachy went to work instead of partying all night in New York with his friends since we've paid him pretty generously for what he used to do these last few seasons. Seems about fair for the leader of a 1-2 team who just lost two straight at home.
