If Brossoit becomes available, he might be decent backup for us.

Surprised with the waiver claim of goalie Clay Stevenson off the Caps
Sure didn't say anything positive for our upcoming Moose tandem

He's 27 with some very decent stats in the AHL and in the few periods he has played in the NHL

PloenFan

The Clay Stevenson signing gives us some depth, and he's actually has a winning record in limited NHL games.

JockitchwithRich

This 27 yr old, undrafted, goalie has a "mere" 5 games played
in the NHL.
Certainly not what anyone would call proven depth

It would be wonderful if he becomes a gem.

PloenFan

I agree that he doesn't have a ton of NHL experience, but hopefully he can fill in temporarily until we can make deal for another proven NHL starter.

The Jets are going to need improvement from a number of players this season.

Lowry: 5G 16A last season. 2024/25, 16G 18A. AL17 needs to be in that 35-40 point range.

Ned:   8G 11A last season. 2024/25, 17G 20A. Ned.  also needs to be 30-35 points.

Pionk: 5G  9A last season. 2024/25, 39 points.

Barron: 11G 12G last season. Hopefully 30-35 points this season.

CP91:   32 points last season. Needs to finally turn the corner with 60-65 point season. 25 goals would be nice.

Oiler interested in Helli. The problem is they only have $300K in Cap space.

Doesn't he only have USA teams on his list?

Hard to keep up with all the reporting on this and separating facts from reporter speculation.

As a Jet fan, I definitely would never want to see HellB
in an Oilers jersey
Gotta trust that Chevy would never send him there

So, straight up for McDavid works for the cap?

No but, Hyman at $5.5M for two more years, and Savoie at at $866K gets the Oilers much closer. Or Pod at $2.95M for the next three years. Hyman 52 points, Pod, and Savoie both with 37 last season. Adding 89 point would be a big boost to our O.
