We won't replace guys like a LB just because someone is a bit better. But we certainly would eye someone in a unit that was decimated. So if ceresna was lost for the season we would look at howsare. Since we didn't, I bet ceresna is fine. Well, to his definition of fine.

McManis has 56 DT's in 12 games. K. Wilson has 39 in 14.  McManis has always been a better LB than K. Wilson.

We've had Woodbey, Griffin and Hazen on the 6 game IR. Griffin could be back this week but our LB's are not exactly a healthy group. Even Smith has not been practising at full.

I never expect the MOS Bombers to do anything but promote from within. A trade would shock me.

We are never going to trade for Howsare when we have Dixon. The guys here have earned their spots. That is what MOS would say if you asked him.

Dixon has played 1 game and is on our PR. He spent 12 games on the 6 game IR. I don't know that qualifies as earning any spot.

I am just saying what I think MOS would say. He sees him everyday going back about a year. Working to rehab is still working hard in the book of MOS. He's part of the team.

"We saw it yesterday in practice, he chased a play 50 yards down the field when other guys had already stopped — he kept running. For a guy that size, it just looks effortless for him to move that way," said O'Shea.

"And he's a good football player. He's a conscientious learner, and there are a lot of good things that we recognized last year, too. So he's building upon that and we'll see where that takes us. We had him in here last year for a reason and he's back again this year for a reason."

Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired National kicker Brett Lauther in a trade with the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

In exchange, the Roughriders have sent their fifth-round selection in the 2027 CFL Draft to Ottawa.

And yet he couldn't even bump Jaworski from a back role on the AR. Similar things were probably also said about Jenkins.

It's getting harder and harder to believe MOS on the face value of his comments.

Lawson, Schmekel, Jaworski, Ceresna at the very least are all nicked to some degree. It will be interesting to see who can dress this week.

No practice today and a closed / walk through tomorrow.

There will be some changes this week will some healthy players returning.

Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired National kicker Brett Lauther in a trade with the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

In exchange, the Roughriders have sent their fifth-round selection in the 2027 CFL Draft to Ottawa.

Ottawa might not be done yet. The must be a few players that they don't intend to bring back in 2027.  Their roster has 19 players 29 years or older. Some are on IR and probably can't be traded but there are few others that could be.

I don't think there is another team that has 20+ players on their overall IR lists. That's a lot of decisions to be made during the off season. Some players have have extended recovery times, some may be headed towards potential free agency.

Still about 4 hours for other possible trades.

He does his best to give zero information. I wonder about that too. I don't wonder about Dixon though. Every day I went to camp he was a stand out. The only other rookie I noticed as much was Singer.

Then it falls on O'Shea's unwillingness to move away from a perceived starter going into TC.  Using Singer as a more recent addition that has not been sitting on 6 game IR this year. Our ratio would have allowed him to be active game 1.

Going into TC it seemed we have determined our starting receivers ( barring injuries ) regardless of who showed what in TC.

On the DL Jenkins was pencilled in after a late season game against back ups and has since been on the PR. I remember posters saying Dixon looked good in TC but now wonder why Jaworski got added to the AR before Dixon.

I suppose that could happen this week but it might be a forced change due to multiple injuries.

Desjarlis was solid for us but left because of his girl friend living in Ottawa ...Have things changed now that he's had a taste of a bad team with a 'dubious' coach...I say we make a play for him, our O Line could use his talent

I don't think they'd trade a starting Canadian OL and then there is the question about what would any other team give to get him?
