Blue In BC

This game was clearly to test those players in competition in the secondary. Looking at the DT stats those were the players that made the bulk of the work. Dixon made an impression with 5.

M. Williams and Texada played fairly well considering the Lions completed nearly every pass in soft coverage. Lamont I think moves to the PR.

I wasn't overly impressed with new receivers except for Singer and Frederickson.

Ok. Lets see what happens today and whether we have some players heading to the IR lists.
One game at a time

I'm not sure, but I thought Frederickson seemed to be willing to block. I noticed one effort, on a short yardage play where he was working hard against a d lineman.hes not flashy, but really good effort. "Gritty, lunch bucket, blue collar"

I don't want to jinx him but I think he will get a spot.

it sure seems like they've brought in some good d line players. Don't know the names, but some of those new guys are fast. 56 I think caught up to Rourke. Another guy chased down the third bc qb, got him by the foot. Those might be the tough decisions for the coaches.

Secondary guys didn't look great, but Imguess that's the hardest group to get together off the bat.

Elgersma sure throws well. I though He looked good. No happy feet, calm, looking around,  no dumb plays or giveaways.

I thought Elgersma did a good job of going through his progressions early in the game. Maybe he's not quite ready to be a starter at the end of this preseason. But he showed a big improvement in his process - largely being a point guard trying to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers. The only way that he progresses further is to get more playing time. If Zach goes down (knock on wood that this doesn't happen), he should be the guy to get the playing time. He's already better than Strev, in my opinion.

Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 01:03:01 PMI didn't notice him getting hurt so we'll see how that unfolds.

I guess the stream cut to the ad break overlay when Allen was writhing on the field then. Pretty obvious to those in the stands.

He went down away from the play with no one around. Writhing holding his leg. I thought maybe cramp because it was so hot, and late in the game. But the trainers didn't work his leg at all! No usual cramp stuff.

After about 90s he's getting helped up and hops gingerly off, with some pressure on the bad leg.

I've seen this enough in person now that my money is on knee. How bad and what the final result for Allen is, is anyone's guess.
Never go full Johnston!
