Who has been hurt in camp and who got hurt Sat?

Yeah that's a key question. Several vets have missed some time and didn't play on Saturday. No reports of anything serious but: Ceresna, Demski, Moxey and Ball and Wilson are at least a little nicked.

Clercius got nicked on Saturday. Probably a thigh bruise and taken out as precaution. It might prevent him from dressing this week but no sure if he ends up on 1 game to start the season.

I didn't see or hear of any other injuries but the " streaming " was less than informative

Javier was injured and needed help off, likely why he was released today

So Javier gets the boot and $0 income all year and JSK gets his full pay?  Seniority pays??  Tough career...

CFL veteran that may have had guaranteed money in his salary versus CFL rookie.

Do vet guarantees kick in this early in the season?  Pretty sure we've cut vets in TC before?

The club seems to give guys in this situation a 2nd chance when they get healthy again. We'll see.
But ya, all players know you Can't make the club from the tub.

Cutting them is one thing but when they are injured is a different thing in CFLPA I'd think. Again, the difference between a veterans rights and a rookies.

I have no problem with this situation. Football injuries are part of the game.

As to the guaranteed money, yes I think that would be applicable although the entire salary wouldn't be in that category except for the injury.

When does the AR actually exist?  I know dismissal of an injured player is not allowed, that they have to go on the 6 game, but is that also on tryout contracts?  Do rookies have the same contract as vets, or does that come when they make the actual AR?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

CFL veterans are protected if they get hurt in training camp. Players who have never made a CFL roster before are not.

Well, there you go.  Makes sense, a vet isn't here on a tryout basis usually, they have proven themselves.  And any contract they are signed to is commensurate to the performance they have displayed in the league.

Whereas rookies on min contracts have proven nothing, and while it's crappy, are owed nothing.  Yet.

It's beginning to sound like Vaval may miss the 1st game with a leg injury, possibly hamstring. Those can linger for the entire year so no need to rush him. Hopefully it's precautionary.

Demski might also but a question mark for the 1st game.

Well that would give Singer an extra edge if he needs it.
My wife is amazing!

He doesn't need it, he's making the team.

Every year I cheer for the bigger import receivers and every year the smaller guy wins the job!

I agree and he could take on the role of returner if Vaval misses the game. Then it's a question of losing Vaval as an in game or rotation player at CB and how we fill that.

That could add another DB as a Di as insurance or even add Dixon as another DE.

Depends on how confidant we are on that emergency replacement by one of our Canadians?
