Could be their receiving   priorities changed with the drafting of Daniels and the signing of Nield maybe they don't see the need for another big target.

I get the feeling Singer has the inside track to being that "next" import receiver in the pipeline. Especially since he can return kicks if Vaval plays more on D.

O'Shea updating on Santos-Knox is pretty vague. He's on the 6 game IR now so that's not a good thing. Yes he can come off early potentially but when have we ever done that? At best he only misses 1/3 of the season.

It they know it's an achilles just say so.

It makes me hope it is not an achilles tear. If that was the case he would be scheduled for surgery already and a very long rehab. They wouldn't mess around with the 6 game. Maybe a high ankle sprain? Who knows?

What do you mean?  The only choice is to put him on the 6 game if he's expected to miss the entire season. If true I doubt we ever see him in a Bomber uniform, this was probably his last shot.

I caught part of today's camp in the sweltering sunlight.

From what I saw:

Zach seemed very sharp aside from one missed throw on the corner route in the end zone.

Elgersma launched a nice pass caught by Christian Frederickson however he also had a pick by Ethan Ball, which was nice play on Ball's part

Perkins looked good in some reps theirs not so much.

Terry Wilson had a couple of reps he had looked hesitant and off target.

Brady looked healthy had awesome burst as did Peterson.

Demski had 2 nice catches, I thought Jayden Harrison had a quick twitch and burst in 1 on 1s and a nice sweep play.

Nield had a couple good grabs to.

DL got some pressure at times, and lots of guys around the ball carriers.

I thought Robert Javier also had tight coverage while making at least 2 break up plays. He looked consistent man in man.

Loads of children showed then up so I took off, lol

Alright Goldie! Thanks for the report.

Lots of good stuff from DT and Ed today, too.

Bombers camp day 4:

Looks like DT Tanner Schmekel has the day off. He's in street clothes as practice is about to start.

And I don't see Cam Lawson as they start working the 1st-team D. He sat out the second half of practice yesterday.

Rookie Warren Burrell is at corner with the 1s to start practice today.

Bombers announce 8 roster moves for cutdown day. They include DB Alijah McGhee who had been with the 1s at cornerback since the start of main camp.

And once again no sign of LB Jovan Santos-Knox. He got hurt on Day 1 of main camp

Rookie receiver Kenneth Womack is out today. Dressed but on the sides.

And 1st-round pick Nuer Gatkuoth is here for his first day of practice. He's wearing #43

Elks announce cuts including former Bisons star Jackson Tachinski. Was with them as a receiver.
Derek Taylor🏈

Taylor Elgersma is the 2nd QB up in this 12-on-12 period.

Now a different type of 12 on 12 period and Terry Wilson is QB2. A lot of variability in who gets in behind Collaros.

THE PADS ARE GOING ON!!!

DT Warren Fletcher working with the 1st team D today alongside Ceresna and Jefferson.

7 on 7 Elgersma tried to rip one across the middle and Cam Allen read it the whole way. Nice interception that he made look easy.

And Ed is adding more and more details to his training camp reports:

1. Popping off the page today was defensive back Ethan Ball, who first emerged last year after being selected in the CFL Canadian Draft and authored a solid rookie campaign.
He's posted a few good days in a row, actually, and continues to make huge plays, including two interceptions on Wednesday.
"Like every second year guy, they come in and they just have more tools," said head coach Mike O'Shea. "They have a better understanding of things. I would certainly think they're all a little more relaxed because they have that better understanding. Ethan is one of the many of the second-year guys who are showing good improvement from last year to this year."

2. Overheard several times today during OL vs. DL one-on-ones: 'Korny is having a day.' That's DT Collin Kornelson of the University of Manitoba and, yes, he was noticeable.

3. Tim White has already been everything and then some for the Blue Bombers since Sunday's first practice. He's relentless in practice and already becoming a favourite target for Zach Collaros.

My hope lies in that when Mercy Maston tore his in TC the Bombers just said so the same day. When four Riders (6 players league wide) had the same injury one TC, they said so. No info at all points to the possibility of a different injury.

The fact he essentially went down with a non contact injury and needed help off the field was a very bad sign. It's a common theme we've heard when other players have had this issue.

At the very least the 6 game IR is significant. Then he'd have to get up to game speed and someone else would have to be playing himself off the roster.

Unless you are a veteran starter, you don't just added back to the AR from the 6 game IR even when you are ready.

Sir Blue and Gold

Sucks for him but the best time for a player to go down with that injury is at training camp.

We have maximum options and he'll have a 12 month recovery window.

Quote from: VictorRomano on May 13, 2026, 04:00:33 PMGiven every chance to lose the job.  Someone on another forum pointed out that if you watch the BB reciever highlights from the first days of camp/rookie camp, on alomst every big catch, it was DB #4 (McGhee) getting blown up.....
see if he can take the job. if not, move on early. In the league 3 years, and playing a position like corner you kinda are what you are at this point. Already feels like the opposite of last years approach, where guys won jobs right away it seemed
