Quote from: Blue In BC on Today at 09:10:14 PMI'm not sure what to expect for safety and SAM starters. Moving Kramdi would give Griffin a full time role, so that might not be the worst choice. IMO Kramdi is not best suited to play at safety, so that would be the downside to that combination of changes.

It would be useful to see what imports they line up at safety and who is the best choice if it isn't Allen.

I know it's only day 1 of the main TC but that's an interesting observation of what may come to pass.

We've been discussing this since last season, Kramdi is probably not the best SAM on the team either, the wonder is why they paid him so much when there are multiple ways to make the ratio work. Give him a trial run at Safety and see how he handles it, important to have a QB on defence, but there are numerous vets that should be able to pick that up by now.

I don't think most of us think he's the best SAM on the team. That said, it seems to be the best position where he fits.

It's a factor of the ratio. There are probably players that are better suited to playing safety as well.

Paying 2 to 1 odds Kramdi continues to excel at LB and isn't playing safety unless its an emergency.  A great Canadian LB.  Paid what he is worth.  We are deep at LB but Kramdi is a key cog on D, veteran with the right passport.  Knows the coaches, players any playbook.  Great communicator.
