How has he looked in camp?

?
He's listed at the same size as Rasheed Bailey

Quote from: Tecno on Today at 03:09:55 AMHe is fairly young/new, a '25 DP? Demski didn't look much better in his first couple of years in SSK.

To those saying he's hit his ceiling, I don't think we've seen the best of him yet.

If we move more towards a quicker, shorter, NAT-heavy pass game to emulate SSK, these shifty guys with great hands are key.

That's revisionist to say the least lol. Demski looked far more versatile and had far more upside/potential, hell he had a punt return touchdown his rookie season against the Bombers. Joey will never return a single punt in his career. Demski was a 1st round draft pick. Corcoran was a 5th (debatable if that was a reach or not) Corcoran isn't going to turn into an offensive threat and is not "shifty". His ceiling is very likely Woli's 2nd or 3rd worst year as a bomber. Which isn't horrible. But a comparison between him and Demski is laughable at best.

Demski's rookie season saw double the yardage on 3 more receptions, (his longest reception as a rookie comes up just 16 yards short of Corcorans entire year). Demski had 4 yards more per catch and 30 rushing yards. Plus the Punt returning and TD.

I don't see Corcoran as a starting WR in the CFL. Solid depth that should be playing ST. If he's expected to start for a significant amount of time, that's a huge red flag.
GO BLUE!

Sir Blue and Gold

Demski was the 6th overall pick in his draft year. There's such a big difference between him and a 5th rounder in Cobb.

Nic would play even if the rules didn't give him a massive advantage which is intended as a compliment.

Corcoran isn't that small, he's 6'-1" 206 lbs, bigger than Demski, Pokey and White.  Clercius has the better size 6'-3" 210 lbs. but he has not developed a connection with Zach so far, this maybe his last chance to make a good impression.

The point was that sometimes a player can have a strong upward trend after the 1st couple of years.  Not a great direct comparison these two players but I get where Techno was going.  We will know a lot by the end of year if he gets some reps.  Sure hope he can shine!

He will have a decent career if he can contribute a little on offense and find ways to use his size in other ways to help the club.

The connection with Zach is key, great point.  I am excited for Zach to build on that this year with new and old faces.  Key is the OL, then run game getting heated up but if Zach can find some chemistry on the medium to deep ball with our target, watch out we shall be good on O again.  I don't see that until mid season.  Lot of seasoning required LOL.

Bombs and runs is my formula for success and not to mention #1 D ;) - ah the good old days, can they return, 50/50 LOL

Quote from: Tecno on Today at 03:11:39 AMSeriously?  There's tons.  Busby, for example.  Half of the teams start a NAT WR as 5th to fill the ratio, and most of them are no better.

At least Corcoran has hands.  Those other have nothing.
busby had 357  yards ly, Corcoran 81 Cobbs 55. Id take busby in a second for both of those guys combined.
bC has mayala and now Demontagnac
EDM - Oleary Orange
Calgary -Brisset or Barnes
Ottawa =. mardener (they generally start 4 non imports )
Tor - Ungerer
Mtrl-Philpot (they start 4 imports as well)

3 Import receivers could still be an option as I don't think the ratio change on the O-line is going to happen for awhile. Eli is being given a little rope as the starting Center, Wallace is getting rave reviews for his weight loss and improved mobility and Neuf. isn't going anywhere unless he's injured.

That leaves a swath of Import O-lineman looking in through the out door with Vibert likely winning the 6th man role. I don't think they should have re-signed Stan, but they did, so the only room left for an import O-linemen is on the PR, which could be a tough pill to swallow for Randolph or Vanterpool if they wish to stick with this program.

Stan isn't hinting at retirement yet and neither is Zach, so the only way either of them is replaced is if someone steps up and takes their job.  As long as the Bombers win this season, their jobs stay safe, put up another mediocre record and I think deeper questions will be asked.

Cobb's strength is his versability (which we will benefit from I believe), I can't comment on Busby, I know the same can't picture his game.

Stan while at the end of his rope is still very good.  Good signing (as long as plays most games) .  Generational talent.  You make some good other points about the OL.

Clercius is a guy with physical upside, but it seems he's not having the mental side development we hoped.  When he's on, he's on.  But when he struggles with the playbook, or worse in scramble time, it gives QB's pause.

If we do move on from him, I have no doubt he ends up on an AR somewhere.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Maybe Condell will make better use of him and MCI.

Terry Wilson quit too? What are we telling quarterbacks at camp this year.  :D

I guess that answers the question if he'll be in the mix or not this season.

Wow didn't see this coming.  I thought Wilson might have the tools but I could see why he left.  He knew the pecking order.  Will be bring in 4th QB now? I would assume so.  What's the list?

He was listed as # 3 for this pre-season game. I guess he felt he should be # 2 and was unhappy with not making progress.

I guess this answers that question for us? We've gone from little experience to no experience in the CFL for depth.

Perkins is probably happy at the moment. I do think we need to find another QB to have on the hook in case we have an early injury. Neither Thorne or Wilson would seem to be in the plans for 2026.
