Blue Bombers Transactions - April 30, 2026

WINNIPEG, MB., April 30, 2026 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the following roster moves.

Added to roster:

American running back Stevie Rocker (6-0, 214, Montana)
National receiver Thomas Desrosiers (6-2, 200, Sherbrooke)
National kicker (2026 CFL Canadian Draft selection) Brady Lidster

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American running back Stevie Rocker Jr.  The six-foot, 210-pound ball-carrier played 29 games during the 2024 and 2025 seasons at the University of Montana, rushing 73 times for 335 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 34 passes for 361 yards and three scores, returned five kicks for 84 yards, and made 11 tackles.

The native of Tucson, Ariz. started his collegiate career at the University of Arizona, recording 31 carries for 153 yards and seven receptions for 59 yards over three seasons.

The Blue Bombers have also signed Canadian receiver Thomas Desrosiers and Canadian kicker Brady Lidster.

Desrosiers went unselected in the recent 2026 CFL Draft. The six-foot-one, 195-pound target caught 13 passes for 123 yards and one touchdowns and returned 83 kicks for 1,705 yards and one score over four collegiate seasons at Sherbrooke University. He was named an RSEQ all-star in 2025 and ran a 4.56-second forty-yard dash at the CFL Invitational Combine in March.

Lidster was the team's eighth-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft out of the University of Windsor. The native of St. Thomas, Ont. made 81-of-107 field goal attempts (75.7 percent), averaged 38.6 yards on 90 punts, and 58.5 yards on 72 kickoffs with the Lancers.

Skill set aside. He has zero chance of making the AR unless Oliveria is injured in TC. Even then, he'll have to show he's better than Peterson in the short term.

He's insurance if we're forced to make a ratio adjustment.

That's the joke. I referenced two other import RBs that everyone thought looked amazing but were quickly cut.

Perhaps he'll get tested as a back up returner or receiver as well. That could give him more opportunities if we have an injury.

The club also announces title changes in the team's personnel department, with Jim Jauch moving to Assistant General Manager, and Danny McManus shifting to Senior Assistant General Manager. Both individuals play crucial roles in scouting for the organization.

McManus is in his 12th with the organization in a personnel role. He began his 17-year Canadian Football Hall of Fame playing career with the Blue Bombers as a quarterback in 1990 and after retirement worked in television with TSN before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in their scouting department. He was hired by Winnipeg on December 2, 2013.

Jauch was first hired by the organization on January 10, 2025. The son of former Blue Bombers player and head coach Ray Jauch, Jim played five years in the CFL with Calgary, Edmonton, and Hamilton before working in personnel with the San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Toronto Argonauts, and B.C. Lions.
