If Schoen's rehab costs are being paid but nothing else he probably needs to evaluate his future fairly quickly and seek employment.  Bad luck for him he didn't have another year to go on his contract but can't blame any team for not wanting to pay his salary with an indefinite return date, 6 gamed or not. Might be best for him to work for a year as an engineer and come back to football next season fully recovered and ready to go.

Right, but my whole gist has been that at that exact moment every other team could be thinking the same thing.
Never go full Johnston!

Not really. Some teams will be cruising at the top of the standing. Their receivers may be playing very well and they have no injury issues. They may be tight to the cap due acquiring other players possibly returning from NFL.

Many factors involved at any price.

So what is the actual status of dalton Shoen?  Some posts say his career is done, others state he may return after lengthy rehab. He's not officially on the roster right now and no retirement notice like Wolitarsky or Bighill either.

So far, there has been no official announcement about his current or future status.

His status is that he's a free agent with no contract and physically unable to play right now.

I'm sure, as a normal human being, he's doing rehab to be able to walk and go about his regular life.

If he goes through that rehab successfully, his agent may put put feelers to teams at some point, but it's not on anyone's radar any time soon. At his age and with his injury history, it's unlikely we'll see him regain his former glory.
My wife is amazing!

He's on the long road to recovery, I expect him back if he hasn't already moved on with his engineering career and the Bombers better step up and give him the opportunity to try again when that day comes. He's probably the smartest receiver the Bombers had since Dressler, even at 3/4 speed he could still be a great possession receiver.

No doubt he would be welcomed back, even if we are stacked at WR.  And I can't see him being lured away, he knows this team, this city and these players too well not to come back here.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.
