Real football back in the day when Canadians were Canadians and revelled in being the true NORTH strong and free! No warm weather wusses need apply.

Back in the day ( 1973-1974 ) I remember meeting my Bomber distant cousin ( Wozney ) coming out of the locker in Vancouver. He had about 6 beer in his many pockets.

Players were not full time dedicated football players. They had other jobs and football didn't pay well relatively speaking. Lots were out of shape most of the time, but that was true across the league.

Are they raising ticket prices
Looking at the seat map it sure looks like it.  Got  worse from Winnipeg stadium. To princess auto..  looks even worse now.. keep moving people further away. From the same ticket prices as what they paid and making them sit further and further away

Small price increases for current season ticket holders.

Huge price increases for people looking to buy new season tickets or single game tix.

How does that work? You can have different prices for new vs existing sth?

Also, when a business is full most of the time, they SHOULD raise the prices. It's good business. The demand is there. You use it. The goal should be to be 1 seat below full capacity every game. That is the correct price.

Ya, we may not like it, and we may complain and it may price out some of the poorer fans. And that sucks. But hey, at least we're not paying mosaic pricing for food and drink!!

The only other option is to add capacity.
Never go full Johnston!

The addition of all these extra playoff games will lead to some poorly attended games next year.  Divisional semi-finals often have mediocre attendance.  We will see that happen with nearly all the playoff games next year with the exception of the true western and eastern finals.

Given the costs of hosting playoff games (paying the players for the games, paying the visiting teams accommodations, etc., I expect hosting teams to not break even on those games.

He must have been afraid of running low before the half.

Very true. That's basic business sense. When you can't fulfill all the orders you're receiving, raise prices.

You are right about pricing it right, that is huge, you want your game to be a hot ticket.

As far as raising prices for STH, they know what sections most sit, easy to raise those by section.

Bloody hell! I see that the Grey Cup Game in 2027 will be on November 7th! That's a full month too early.

This is Canada! There should be a very good chance of frigid weather for the Grey Cup Game. Here the chattering classes keep prattling on about global warning yet OUR Grey Cup Game continues to creep earlier and earlier. Someone in the league office needs to be caned.
