Looking at empty seats, what I see on tv, I am guessing many people just feel the CFL is already over and don't want to sink any more money into it. Already moved on.

The HAM situation is very disturbing because they used to be the 3rd or 2nd best fan base. What on earth happened there?? It was already dropping off a bit last season, before the Johston "I'm gonna destroy your CFL suckaz!" announcement, but it's really off a cliff this season. And with SSK -- the GC champs! (barf) -- being like 25% empty! Wow! What's going on?

I bet at this point SSK doesn't even fill up for LDC, unless WPG is looking hot by then and we all go.

The Vaval TD return was the highlite of the game for me, and maybe of the season. Just a shame that Johnston's useless tinkering is going to remove plays like that from the game.

Streveler was at the Calgary Stampede promoting NFL Canada and the Arizona Cardinals, how does that make any sense? Too many people have lost touch with their Canadian identity as it's being swept away, imagine dressing up as a Canadian cowboy.

I asked Strevy about that as the NFL already does very well up here.

He said they are going after the snowbirds that head down to Arizona.

Sounds like the 55 might be back in play, but not the 15 yard endzones.

If they are sticking with 15 yard EZ, have to move the goalposts still.

Might make sense since USports isn't changing

So spill the beans... Where'd you hear that and what's the word?

I knew if we kept the pressure up on the most egregious of the rule changes Johnston would have to have second thoughts. None is more egregious than the 55.

And its totally possible to fit all fields uniformly with 12 or 15 yards ezs.

If true I'd call this a major win and tsn et al need to shout this far and wide to try to win back some of the disgruntled and stop the sth bleeding.

The Als are marketing season tickets for 2027 and their graphic and seat placement still has the 55 yard line. There's online speculation their asking for an exemption from the league to retain the field length due to pressure from McGill, who doesn't want to make the change.

All hearsay at the moment.

Good for the frenchies then. But why would their CFL governing board guy ever agree to it to begin with? I knew some were being railroaded. Johnston even hinted as much about how he did it all in secret with his cronies and then sprung it on the board.

If Montreal saves our 55 I'll definitely be a bigger fan of their club going forward.

No way Johnston can just ignore and make exceptions for one team. That completely ruins the whole point of homogenizing the fields.

Why does a shorter end zone need to move the goal posts? Leaving them where they are would mean missed FG's could still be returned and FG efforts would happen as they do now as far as field position needed to kick.

I bet every CFL president and GM has been deluged with negative reactions and pushback to these changes throughout this season with hardly a peep from the positive side, makes them question why they agreed to make these changes in the first place. Hoping SJ's reign of error is a short one.
