Oakman is being replaced by Kori Roberson Jr., who was already on the active roster. To replace Oakman on the 45-man roster, the Alouettes added defensive-back Robert Kennedy III from the practice roster.

Quote from: Blueforlife on October 30, 2025, 11:17:01 PMWe are going to need 30 to win imo.  Agree about Zach protecting the ball and Brady cooking.  All on our OL imo.  We win on their back.

And that is why I really do not see us coming home with the win. If we are placing our hopes on our OL I believe we are in trouble. IMHO and my opinion only this is the weakest OLine we have had in many years.

Made it to Montreal. Still raining. Apparently there is no metro at all tomorrow, not even during commuting times. I guess the union really has a hate on for the CFL!

Forecast keeps getting colder still.

The sports shop in ywg had a big section just for the grey cup, and a big normal Bombers section. Very nice, I'll see if I can post a picture tomorrow.

Stadium opens very early, and supposedly there's a tailgate too. We'll see the temp and gauge how early to go tomorrow.

Got on the plane and realized forgot my binoculars. Argh. The one thing not on my list.

Anyone know what type of store around downtown Montreal would sell binocs? Not like I want to spend 300 bucks... But...
Never go full Johnston!

For binoculars in downtown Montreal your best bet is the Decathlon Sports Store in the Eaton Centre Mall. They have a good range of products and prices. Eaton Centre is at 705 St. Catherines Street West (corner of McGill College Avenue and St. Catherines).

Ugh. The negativity on an annual basis continues. At least you're consistent.
Season ticket holder since year 1 of the Reinbold era.

One game at a time.

If it's raining, the field and ball will be slippery and turnovers are going to be an issue. I can't see our struggling passing game do well in this type of Esther. Hold onto and protect the ball brady and run like crazy !! This will be a low scoring game. The iffy footing will affect Vaval s ability to cut sharply, not a good thing for our return game.

Quote from: BBRT on November 01, 2025, 03:03:14 AMSorry but will have to disagree with your comments. Willie has been a passenger most of the year plus the Montreal Oline is very good. Nice to think but doubt we will see it happen.

We've seen Willie have his best games in the play-offs. And obviously him getting to the QB isn't a focus of our D, but still think he can cause havoc from time to time.

I think it's going to be pretty low scoring regardless. Just need to grind out a couple of drives and not turn the ball over.

Thanks! Right down the street, I will head there shortly! I need a new set anyhow. Something with a little more zoom would be nice.

Cudos to Mtl and their management team for immediately doing the right thing and cutting Oakman.

Derek Taylor was wondering if they'd try to appeal the suspension to get him in the game. It was an indefinite suspension so the league might not have allowed it anyway, but glad it didn't come to that.

Exactly. This is not hot July, teams aren't going to be passing for 400 yds, its going to be cold, wet, miserable football, cue Guns n Roses Cold November Rain and let er rip!!

I just don't trust our offence really (though I'm sure they got one big game in them). And I don't think the ALs will have much success against our D.

Gonna be a sloppy dog fight.

Let me be fair on this one. I am a big fan of statistics and trends. I do it for a living (or did as I finally just retired). I am trying to be honest in my opinion. The data, statistics and any trending you might employ does not support a Bomber win. It is not negativity just an honest opinion based on the information available, record, statistics etc. Just look at the talent position by position and it is clear at least IMHO that the Bombers are definite underdogs and by a significant margin.

I hope I am wrong and underdogs do come out on top from time to time. I just can see any reason to be optimistic.
