Don't go on any social media where the Bombers are announcing sell outs. They get bombarded by rider fans telling about how it's all fake and how they'll stop selling tickets when the Bombers fall in the standings. It's just nuts. I just don't understand the anger about the fact that a team sells their games out. I would like it if the riders sold out, or any other team for that matter.

OK so there is a little. But really it hasn't been that bad, and they are the Bombers biggest rival.

The real test will be at the Grey Cup in Winnipeg. When we went to Regina for the Grey Cup in 2022 the stadium wasn't in full capacity with fans in the stands like it was in Hamilton.

A lot of Rider fans were trying to sell their tickets to the Grey Cup for reasons... didn't want to watch the Bombers/Argos play in their stadium. And the rider fans were cheering for the Argos and booing the Bombers before/during and after the game.

When they were booing at the Grey Cup, I was telling the rider fans around me, Thanks for yelling BLUUUUEEE.
They didn't like that either.

I remember the year (2008 I think it was) when Winnipeg was still in the East and Edmonton crossed over, that was a cold game and your beer would freeze to be like a slurpie if you did not drink it fast.

Yup, 7up froze in 15 mins, then I bought another later in the game and it froze in 10.

The 200-level was just brutal cold that game with the wind, even though 100-level said it was more ok. I'm half expecting that type of cold for our GC.

Ya, it was pretty bad. SSK fans making noise when we were on O. I talked to maybe 1 fan all night that was rooting for Bombers, but only because they hate TOR. Some drunk fans around us were super stoked when we lost.

However, no one treated us badly personally. I think some gave us cred for staying until the very end, when half the SSK fans had bolted for warmer climes (WPGers hardier than SSKers!). I always have fun visiting for Rider games.

Uh, we have fallen in the standings!! We were bottom-3 or -4 for much of the season. In fact, we're the worst team to just squeak into the playoffs. Yet fans still showed up.

Now, the real test will be how many STH flake out on renewals for '26... I still think it'll be better than SSK suffered during the DTL years.
