Braxton Hill in, Kyler Fisher out for Hamilton Tiger-Cats against Stampeders
By 3Down Staff -October 10, 2025

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have made a change to their starting lineup as Braxton Hill will start at weak-side linebacker in place of Kyler Fisher.

Hill joined the Tiger-Cats as a free agent in August and has since made one start, helping the team beat the Edmonton Elks by a score of 29-27 in Week 16. Over six career regular-season CFL games, the 25-year-old native of Anaconda, Mon. has recorded seven defensive tackles and 12 special teams tackles.

The six-foot-two, 225-pound defender had stints with the Edmonton Elks and Saskatchewan Roughriders earlier this year but didn't see any regular-season action with either team.

Fisher, who was one of 112 players named eligible for Most Outstanding Rookie this week, is out due to a knee injury. The 24-year-old native of Farnhamville, Ia. has played 13 games for the Tiger-Cats this season and made six starts, recording 57 defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles, and one sack.

Hamilton has also made a change along the defensive line as Miles Fox is out due to a foot injury. Mario Kendricks, who was a healthy scratch last week, has been promoted to the active roster in his place. The Virginia Tech product has made 17 defensive tackles and five sacks over 15 games this season.

The Tiger-Cats have also activated fullback Daniel Bell off the six-game injured list. The native of Saint John, N.B., who was drafted out of Mount Allison University as a linebacker, has taken the roster spot previously filled by Daniel Kwamou, who was moved to the practice roster.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (10-6) will host the Calgary Stampeders (8-7) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, October 11, with kickoff slated for 3:00 p.m. EDT. The Stampeders are coming off a tough loss to the B.C. Lions, while the Tiger-Cats put up almost 50 points in a win over the Toronto Argonauts. With a victory or a Montreal loss, the Ticats can claim the East Division title this week and secure a first-round playoff bye.

The weather forecast in Hamilton calls for a high of 17 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. The game will be broadcast on TSN, RDS2, and CTV in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in on 770 CHQR in Calgary and the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.

Blue In BC

Calgary lost some starters to injury for this game. Doesn't bode well for them on the road. Go TiCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One game at a time.

Tecno

I don't follow CGY's roster close enough, but it seems like they are missing a ton of pieces vs what they started the season with.  Too bad that's when we played 3 games vs them, instead of now -- someone smack the schedule-maker  :-\  :-\

However, 2nd in the W is still on the line so I would think CGY will step it up to end the season.  They can't just go full-TOR mode and just lose everything.
Never go full Johnston!

Stats Junkie

Vernon Adams is using his legs early on. Not sure if it is sustainable but it could open other things up for their offence.

Bo Levi Mitchell tosses an interception on his first pass. Contrary to the TSN opinion, there is no MOP debate between Rourke & Mitchell. Rourke's productivity is miles ahead of any other QB except maybe Davis Alexander. If BC continues to improve on defence they will be a force to reckon with in the playoffs.

Stats Junkie

Lots of field goal attempts (5-2) in the first half. Stampeders finally get a TD late in the half.

Rush yards 159-6 for Calgary.

Brooks muffed 2 punts in the first half. Only 1 scored as a fumble. Statistically it is not a fumble if there is no imminent threat of recovery by the opposition.

Boxscore only shows 1 penalty. 3 declined holding penalties not included because Genius.

Most sources list his place of birth as Jamaica. CFL lists Charlotte, NC. His bio says he started high school in Jamaica then moved to Charlotte.

Speaking of globals, Nik Constantinou has been doing kickoffs for Hamilton today. That's new.
