Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on October 21, 2025, 06:35:40 PMRolling Stones still sell out shows in their 80's and they haven't had a hit in 40 years!  Living off the legacy.

That's nonsense! Here are the Stones' hits from the last forty years:

Harlem Shuffle - Feb. 1986
One Hit (To the Body) - May 1986
Mixed Emotions - Aug. 1989
Almost Hear You Sigh - Jan. 1990
Love Is Strong - July 1994
Out of Tears - Nov. 1994
Like a Rolling Stone (live) - Oct. 1995
Doom and Gloom - Oct. 2012
Living in a Ghost Town - April 2020
Angry - Sep. 2023

These would be my favourites in rough order:

Mixed Emotions

One Hit (To the Body)

Harlem Shuffle

Living in a Ghost Town

Love Is Strong

Listen to Mick Jagger's harp!

Like a Rolling Stone (live)

Angry

Yes I know, I know. They've slowed right down and they're not the hitmakers they were in the 1960's. But nonetheless no other band has put out as many tracks I really like  in the last forty years as have the Stones.

Radically Canadian!

We're talking production, though, not the actual act.  I was there for Green Day and it was also better than expected, but not nearly as pyro/fireworks/lights as MGK.
Never go full Johnston!

Personal preference, I guess. I don't really care if there's a bunch of fireworks.
My wife is amazing!

Ya, but if you don't like the act (as many/most of us feel many/most years) then at least you have something to enjoy.  It also reflects good on the club & GC organizers when they spend big and make it all work.
