He's good at a couple of things right now:

1) Gut runs.  Forget the edge, he has no speed.  Just straight forward.  I like the I-formation where both he & Brady run straight forward and no one knows which of them has the ball.  That has worked very well many times.  Like a "RRO" play.

2) Go deep when they're not expecting it.  No one thinks Strev will throw deep, so they all cheat up on shorter INTs.  Maybe combine #1 and #2, do the I, keep the ball, press the line, then back up and chuck a rainbow to a deep post or corner who will guaranteed have a step on their guy.  Let the REC sort it out if it's not accurate.  With enough air they can adjust.

I think our OC has gone "all turtle" after all the INTs this season losing us games.  And being so scared to throw deep for INTs has made us (with Strev) go all-short and thus give route-cheating DBs more INTs.

The solution turned out to be worse than the problem.

Streveler from game 1 had defenses playing back, expecting the run. He had all the time in the world.

Now no one is scared of that. They're forcing him to play QB, and we've all seen the results.

That is true.  No one (including us) knew how slow he was going to be post-injury.  They probably thought he'd regain 90% of his form.  In reality he regained 50%.

There is hope though.  If he can ever ditch the brace and get more healed he could get back to 80%.  Maybe that's what we're banking on?  Certainly will be if we re-sign him for '26!

Then.  Now, it's looking much better (at times).  BC is a team that's managed to improve as the season progresses.

If Streveler continues to play poorly does Wilson get a chance? This game is going to be run focused but the Redblacks will also know that.

If Streveler can't get it together somewhat in the first half, I'd put Wilson in for the second. It's not like he could do any worse.

Don't know, being a road game if Strev can't score enough points to keep up with Dru Brown this would be the perfect time to give Wilson the second half to see how he performs, the timing is perfect.  Another poor performance by Strev and Bomber fans at home are going to begin unloading on him, which would be sad to see for a player that gives everything he has and more.

Technically it was their second as we had the bye in week one. Still a true comment though.

As far as give Wilson the 2nd half, how about the third quarter no matter the score? It's been a wasted period anyway. Really though we have to go by the flow of the game. MOS thinks 3 scores down is still in the game though. So I am expecting Strev for the entirety of it.

The fact you guys keep saying this doesn't make it true.  It's not a religious invocation.  It could, in fact, be worse.  Not saying it would, but it could.  We've seen it first-hand with the QB carousel in '12-'14.  Don't make me name the name!
