Different situation.  No Strev then.  If we had Strev then Dru likely would have been waiting the whole time like Wilson.  Dru actually got kind of lucky Strev stayed in the NFL for Dru's 2 apprenticeship years.

Don't know about Wilson, but Strev has read D's before, and thrown accurate balls at game speed.  The only passing TD in the '19 GC anyone?  Go watch it, heck of a beautiful ball.

Go watch all of Strev's 2018 starts.  He was chucking it a ton.  He is fully capable.  We still thought he was a "real" but quirky QB back then.

Maybe instead of setting Strev up to fail with jumped routes and lame schemes, come up with 1-read-only schemes that are novel and have a high chance of getting a forgotten guy wide open.  Make it easy for him.  Use the fact everyone cheats up on Strev's passes against them.  You know, have the O coaches do their job?

Wow... what has changed for a QB?  Field a little shorter, EZ easier to work in?  Still waggle, 12 players, 3 downs, ratio, wide field... if anything, a CAN trained QB with any NFL experience is just fine coming back north.

Bingo.  MOS, Hogan, Zach, Strev all have said in pressers that Strev can make every play Zach can.  I always thought they were just not throwing Strev under the bus.  But what if they really believe it?  Sure would explain a lot.

Lapo sure knew how to use Strev more effectively, even for passing!
