I don't understand why this league favours the Riders almost as much as they do the Argos.

TSN cut away from Harris after his big hit but he was clearly not right and looked woozy and concussed. They hid him in the tent and then sent him out as if all was well. This is bordering on abuse and the league needs to be careful or they're going to get their ***** sued off.

There is an option with CFL Connect to generate a Gamebook which produces a complete stats package, same as what CFL produces at the conclusion of each game.

I knew it! And just like that we knew the Riders were lucky to be sitting in first place. We know that Calgary is the better team and even with all the help the Riders got from the officials they lost by 2 TDs yet again. I can't wait to see how the Rider forum tries to spin this loss and if the Bombers happen to beat the Riders too the Rider collapse will be full on and they'll be shown for the frauds they are. They are NOT, far and away, the leagues best team like they were trying to get us to believe. In fact, it is friggin sad that they were so desperate to win this game that they'd put the health of their star QB at risk again. We'd never do that with Zach.

I'd like to see the penalty stats breakdown of this game. For the Riders not to get flagged for the same offenses the Stamps were was just a disgusting display of officiating and really needs to be investigated by the league, IMO.

Sask got all the help they could have ever hoped for in that first half and only lead by 1 point. They scored 0 points in the second half. The message the Riders sent the league this week is that when they face adversity they fold like a cheap suit and quit when the going gets tough. That's the real Riders. Awesome. lol

Lots of angst in the Rider forum too. Quite entertaining. Some in there predicting they'll be in third place when the Bombers finish beating them the next two games. I dunno about that but I understand the concern after watching them quit after the first half in this one. 

Sending a clearly concussed Harris out for more of a beating in the second half is a bad look on the Riders. Isn't the league supposed to intervene with these things?

SSK is very good at what they do, but they aren't perfect.  I think they may be the most balanced team though, but still skewed towards the D.  Their balance on O, perfect run/pass short/mid/long mix, is their secret sauce.  It covers up for their weak RECs.  It allows a lot of uncontested catches to stationary RECs.

Their D, especially DL and run stop, is near league-best though.  Mills was stinking out the joint in the 1st half, and that's going to happen to Brady too.  Only when they get tired and you loosen them up will you get anywhere in the middle.

The problem with SSK is when you disrupt their mojo they get discombobulated.  And if you start hitting Harris a lot, it's game over.

They are beatable, but you have to play perfect ball and have great schemes and new wrinkles.  And SSK always plays twice as hard at home vs away, so the LDC is still a tough W.

Harris was ROCKED!

He looked concussed there to me.

The one quick shot of him trying to pass off the ball after the sack had him looking like an extra from the Walking Dead.  Dude was messed up, arm/shoulder up like quasimodo, standing at a 45 degree angle looking like a DUI test subject, and eyes completely out to lunch.  I could hear zombie moaning in my head.  My son thought he looked gone.

And then he takes another shot later and ruins his ankle.  They finally decided to keep him out.

Definite concussion.  Normally it would be minor, but he is ancient.  He's as prone as Zach now.  And it was the same ol' fall back head snaps back hits the turf concussion like Zach always gets.  I'm telling you someone needs to put pillows or high-tech crumple zones on the outside back of QB helmets!  Why are we letting these guys get hosed like this?  There's so little protection in the back and it's really stupid.

Spotters failed.  Team will probably hush it up so they can play him in LDC.  But that means one big sack and Trevor may be out for 3+ weeks.  Not saying we want to concuss him, but if the team blitzes a whole ton early to get a legal hit that has him on his butt, it's Maier time.

You'd think because it was right there on an iso 2-shot on camera the EITS would flag it.  Very bizarre.  Total swing and hit.

Probably a fine incoming, should CFL decide to "notice" it.

Riders got lots of help on their TD drive. Massive holding uncalled that allowed Harris to scramble for a first down followed by more of the same that allowed him to throw a big strike downfield.

My impression is league is trying to call less OL holding this season.  (Maybe the same amount of REC holding though.)  It has to be really bad, and the ref has to have a bee in their bonnet, before they call OL holding.

There is so much obvious and egregious holding going on, impacting the play near the carrier, and maybe 1-2 flags a game.

I'm not sure I'm against this... WPG holds too (Riderforum thinks we're the most-holdy ever!).  But then when a ref wants to influence a game they can start calling it on just one team, and it sticks because there's always holding going on!

Lots of stench on that TD drive. Hard to believe this game is actually in Calgary and not Regina. I'm guessing the penalty calls are about 7 - 2 in favour of the Riders. We'll see if that evens out by game's end.

Ya, refs in Regina are always swayed a bit by the crowd and/or whatever else drives them (cough cough homer cough).

Doesn't help that Dickenson used his "keep them somewhat honest" flag in the first 60s.  MOS would never do that.
