Quote from: TecnoGenius on August 31, 2025, 08:43:51 AMWho's hating?  It looks more like to me that the "concussions theorists" are the ones concerned about Trevor's health: it's the people hand-wavingly dismissing the zombie walk as "totally can't be concussion!" who are doing him a disservice.

Okay, Techno, enough.

You can pretend you know more than the actual medical doctors on the sideline. More than the independent spotters from the league up top. More than Trevor Harris himself. More than his coach. You can pretend you know Harris' medical history, and you can pretend your x-ray vision can deduce calf cramps from concussion calf cramps.

You can also pretend that you can diagnose concussions from your basement couch and PVR.

But do not portray the situation as if your weird little pseudo-pretend, PVR-enabled medical degree is somehow more valuable or correct than all of the above. It is not.

Well said. Enough of this crap already!!

Whack your head on the ground, and stay down even a second, and you get pulled by a spotter.  Waiver as you rise, pulled.  And that's great for player health and safety.

Harris does NOT want to get pulled.  That's not in his psyche.  He plays for Mace, who I don't think wants to see that either.

The issue that arises is if Harris stays in the game when compromised, and gets taken out with a legal hit, it might end up a penalty for appearances sake.  On the other hand, it could lead to a turnover.

If Harris wants to play when he shouldn't its not our fault if he gets hurt or turns over the ball.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Show me one other CFL video where a QB gets up from a body/heat hit and does this zombie walk and is not concussed.  Just one.  I'll wait.

Show me one other CFL video where a hit that had nothing to do with legs suddenly caused severe "calf cramps".  Just one.  I'll wait.

I don't know for sure anything about Trevor, and neither do you.  I work off probabilities and analysis and research.  J5V already showed you how concussion can cause cramp-like effects.  I add in everything I've watched since Ricky Ray and Cornish were doing the walking-falling-down thing when they were too old and concussion-prone to take those hits anymore.  And add in 6 years of closely studying and worrying about Zach.

I bring everything together and I deduce what is most likely.  And what is most likely here is he was concussed.  You have come to a different conclusion, good for you.  Your guess is no more valid than mine.  At least I detail my entire argument.  Yours above is nothing but an appeal to authority fallacy: "Would all of muh authoritah be wrong?"

Now we've seen the LDC, was Trevor in top form?  Why not?  200 yards?  That's 150 less than his norm.  Was it because of our fearsome pass rush and our wicked and stacked DT roster?  Was it because of our top-notch pass-stopping LBer corps?  (I'm joking on both, if it's not obvious.)

But hey, they got away with it.  Trevor took no real head hit, and usually it's this first week after concussion that is the danger zone.  So for SSK it's just as good as if they had kept him out.  So risk taken, reward gained for Trevor & SSK.  And as I said before, I'd have taken the risk too.  He gets another whole week before the BB, giving him 2 full weeks for the brain matter to heal.  All's well that ends well.  Until the next one.  Let's see him explain away the zombie walk next time.
Never go full Rider!

Zach looked shook up when his neck snapped back and his head hit the turf.

He laid there for about ten seconds before being helped up.

He does that all the time.  Look at the throw right after - is that the throw a concussed person makes?
