Thanks Mania

I'm already in! Got great lower bowl seats to. :)

See you that weekend!

I'm on the fence.  It'll likely be a loss (unless we waste MTL tomorrow), and my littlest kid can't handle bad losses.  Wife won't let me go unless I take the whole crew...

I'll be eyeballing the forecast.  If there's bad weather by some stroke of luck, I may snatch some cheapos on stubhub and drive out last minute.  I don't mind a rain game.

Actually a rain game should help us.  SSK can run, but they are more reliant on a zillion little passes to run their normal O.

I have a feeling that one way or another we'll be back in SSK come post-season: I can get my Regina fix in then.

I've never been to a Labour Day classic game, or any game there for that matter.

I'm tempted to go, especially since I can't be at the Banjo Bowl this year.

Is there any chance of getting decent tickets this late?  Lower bowl, upper bowl, but good view?  I wouldn't want to drive all that way and not have a good experience, will there be tickets last minute (as in a day or two ahead) for decent seats?

It's fun.  I love going to WPG @ SSK games.  You should go for it.

Their stadium is kind of a copy of ours.  All seats between the 25's are good.

Keep an eye on stubhub and the fans first or whatever it's called.  (TM is useless for resale as they never let it go below face value.)  If you can hold out until the last minute (like day/night before or morning-of) then there's usually someone trying to unload (got sick last minute, car broke down, whatever).

However, if there's exceptionally high demand because their team is looking like world-beaters for the first time in years, then prices may remain well above face.

If the forecast sours, we can all get tickets less than face as a huge dump will occur.

If you're just needing a single ticket, regardless of weather you can often find a deal because singles are very hard to re-sell.

Thanks - this is really helpful!

I actually went into the stadium a couple summers ago when I was at a hockey thing next door for my daughter.  It was open so I walked in and checked it out. The seats aren't as nice (the actual seats - seemed a bit smaller, less room in lower bowl).  It definitely seemed like any rain would hit almost everyone in lower bowl.  I don't care about that if going there for a game, just comparing to our stadium - most of lower bowl on sides are covered.  I'm row 3 and I don't get very wet if it is raining.  that's a big difference.

I didn't walk around much though, so I wonder what it is like for that?  It is annoying in our stadium, especially when morons stand around in a circle where people are trying to walk by.  Again, no issue for going to a game there, just wondering how it all compares to our stadium.

So thank you for the advice - I will watch this a bit.  It may just be time to finally make the trek!

More room in concourses.  A lot more, I'd say.

I think it's 6 flights of stairs to get to upper (compared to our 4), so many will not want to be going up/down much once you're in your spot.

If you want chow, get it by the end of half time.  Every time I've been there they are sold out of many/most real food choices by mid-3rd Q.  Always strikes me as completely braindead.  (Might be just the upper level, since that's usually where I sit.)

I believe Bonfire Sports has been promoting a bus tour to the LDC through the 1930 Crew and there may still be a few seats left which is a much better experience than going by yourself.  Everything is included and you'll get decent seats sitting with a mob of crazy Bomber fans.

Sounds like you're just making up any excuse not to go. Pity.

LOL.  Well, wife won't allow an alone excursion...

Not sure I want to pay $300 a ticket for 200-level times 3 if the game stays in high demand... I spend a lot on CFL, but I'm not nuts.

And it's not looking great for a win unless SSK takes tons of injuries vs CGY.  You try sitting with a crying very young girl for an hour post-game!

Tell you what, if we start getting rain looks by the day before, I'll be there.  And I don't see how I won't be at a potential SSK home playoff game in the cold...

As for the the toilet seat (Mosaic) the concourses are large and inclosed with brick Tyndall stone.
The seats are flimsy and green. They fit me like a glove but bigger trunk dudes will need to suck it in to fit at all.
EZ to get beer and take a wiz.
Fans have been nice lately.
Usually I'm the issue. :P
